  • Ryan shows a good start to an environment here. The documentation shows that a good amount of thought has gone into the block out stage and it was nice to see some concept sketches of the layout. 

    The final renders show some nice camera angles and it would be great to see this textured and lit!

  • Its a postive start to modeling.  I recommened looking at some more enviro tutorials, gumroad is a good place.  keep it up

  • I understand that you have said this submission is incomplete and that unfortunately makes it an overall poor submission. In terms of research, simply deciding that you would like to focus on a church seems a little naive, it would be good to see you research and explore different types of architecture, from different periods and countries and then decide on what way you would like to develop the environment you were building. You seem to have missed this crucial phase of development. 

    It would be good to see your concept design match up with your grey box model or with the final images. With your concept images a helpful tip is to shade these in terms of foreground, mid-ground and background, that can help sell what you are trying to highlight compositionally. 

    I think that you need to be much more careful of scale, your initial images were of grand church buildings, but when I see your production model the man you have placed in the scene looks like a giant, making the building look small and not at all grand.
