Random Simple GamesPage 3

Sometimes we just want some mindless fun and that's exactly what I have here! Just some simple random blurbs I have and played at my own leisure~ They're all varied with no specific theme on mind other than they were short, simple, and good~! ♪(´▽`)

You can also say it's my dumping ground of other games that have not fully made its way to my more theme oriented collections but despite saying that it does not mean the games here are any bad unless I explicity state the difficulties I encountered while playing it! Every game here can be your little hidden gem if you look around and experience it~ Do pace yourself and don't be like me where you put so many games in a collection.... Yeah, speaking from experience... (´。_。`)

At the center of an odd love triangle, will you make the right choices? Somebody's life could depend on it.
Visual Novel

I would have liked to put it somewhere else but for now I kinda had to put it here since it's pretty cut and clear for a demo. I'm more interested regarding the LI and his situation with... the other LI. Regardless of that, I think it does have a lot of potential especially with the design, interface, music, and so on! It just, to me, lacks a little bit of the story but it does a good job in pulling you in the story itself!

It genuinely feels pretty well polished and it's got some cool dialogue and an interesting character. Be warned though for that one jumpscare, absolutely scared the shit out of me. It's got an interesting plotline and a lil bit of a challenging way to get the endings. Despite that, it's kind of short but it has a comfortable length given the content of its plot!

Just because you're dead doesn't mean the story's over...

Aight, so first of all this has themes of death, serial killers, and death penalty. But they're all not described in detailed, more so to lay on the plot of the story. It's pretty short and straight forward but the story itself is pretty intriguing with its world building and especially the "deal".

I like the creative juices it gave me, especially with an idea for a story, and it helps pace me to play more games. If you're looking to fix your boredom but don't want to be burned out from long ass games, try this out!

Don't Stop Reading! What if sometimes the mail we dismiss as Junk was telling the truth?
Visual Novel

It has that spooky vibe because the plot is predictable, but just because it's predictable doesn't mean it doesn't give you the creeps! Since it's a submission to the Spooktober I gotta say, it was a nice few minutes of knowing the inevitable and it actually happening.

Its got a nice pace and doesn't drag itself at all, like it!

when your imaginary vampire friend isn't so imaginary
Visual Novel

I'm a bit confused on how the multiple endings are achieved due to the choices that all look the same. To be honest, I did feel a little bored playing through it and just had to tough it up but at the same time it's unfair because the developer worked hard on it. One of the main points that I did like about this VN was the pretty art and the story it does have, however the story itself was cut short and felt a bit abrupt due to the fast pacing. The characters themselves are pretty confusing and feels like they need more screen time and narration to feel solid, other than that it's a nice little VN.

Foster friendships, reveal a generational curse or even meet the devil himself!
Visual Novel

It's not bad of a visual novel, the plot moves fast but I like how it covers the important parts, especially with it being a Game Jam. I find it funny how it focused on the devil rumors regarding Paganini and knowing the relationship between Haydn and Niccolo, I like how they contrast with one another in multiple ways.

Visual Novel

Intended for 18+ audiences.

Honestly, I woould have put this at my Time To Get A Heart Monitor collection however not a lot of content regarding the warnings were present, and it has a rather simplistic design to it that I didn't put it in WARNING! This Is Really COOL!. However, it's honestly Clover is so cute I just-- I cannot. I'm looking forward to an update that helps expand on it!

Visual Novel

This is quite short and rough around the edges, but it's the developer's first time so I find it endearing and can really tell a lot of hardwork was put in. There is some gore and mispelling but they can be easily overlooked. It tells a rather typical tale of a yandere encounter but in its simplicity, it's quite calming in some ways.

Visual Novel

Twas a weird mix of both terror and comedy like, I'm experiencing some emotional whiplash over here... But it was enjoyable and had me replaying just to see what on earth was going on and if there were more secrets I could uncover.

But that one image?? You gotta use your big brain to get that scene and that chilling ending...

A Sci-Fi "Love" Story

It's got an interesting concept where we as the player is the AI while the human is the one yandere for us, it's pretty simple in execution but it does show how unhealthily attached Winter42 is to us, and while I do wish we could learn more about them and have an expanded story, I think something like this to showcase the idea is nicer especially with the passage of time and how we see nothing but numbers, reflective of being an AI and literally doing nothing until someone responds to us.

You met a cute stranger at the bus stop. A short VN inspired of dating sim style.

It's an enjoyable short visual novel to set the pacing, it is awkward on the grammar but it is impressive given how English isn't the first language of the developer! There are a few bugs and it doesn't look the most polish, however it was fun to play through and the story itself is simple but also doesn't lean to far into extreme yandere tendency. The LI here is a baby that needs professional help.

It started out strong, the translation is a little bit weird but it doesn't force you out of the immersion. The yandere in question is pretty mysterious and curious, he's quite apathetic to the MC's struggles and he feels a bit unnatural, especially with the lil hints sprinkled in the limited room. The only con here is that it easily gets repetitive and for me, I had a hard time trying to get the other endings no matter what I do. I'm honestly confused how other people are able to play this visual novel so if anyone knows how to get the different endings, much appreciated it if there was a comment.

UPDATE: There is now a tutorial within the comments to help peeps like me who get lost easily. I haven't played it again yet because I can still hear the background music but I'll update again on what's happening!

UPDATE: My god I finally got it, got all the endings. It was a hard battle but thanks to this strategy guide I managed to get all endings. Btw, the transformation means Hentai (or well, Sasagawa) and you actually need to save in Ending 3 where you are untied and can either splash milk on Sasagawa or lick it, ending 4 needs you to get Ending 1-3, then load the save you did in Ending 3 and proceed to lick the milk. Goodluck deciphering it!

So far, it gives us the basic run ins with the plot and the worldbuilding, but it helps to establish the world and the MC that we journey with. It's got a nice cast with an intriguing backstory regarding the world especially since it takes place within a medieval world with royalty still in power and the after effects of a war, would love to see more of it!

I am on an IF spree... But anyways, this IF is pretty simple in execution and it follows a twisted retelling of The Little Red Riding Hood, the world it has is quite dark and violent, sparing no one of what's going on. Though, for me, it kind of skips out any sort of detail about the world building so I'm kinda hoping we get to elaborate on that, especially when I noted a little late throughout the story how some of the villagers weren't actually human (at least, from what I can infer). But aside from that, an interesting lil IF.

This was quite an interesting IF, especially with the concept of transmigration! I'm really big on that so I'm excited to see this come to shape. The story so far is quite interesting and entertaining, and I love Saoirse a lot, she looks to be a lovely friend to be around with. I'm very excited to see how we affect the story, especially with the interesting divergence we'll take. Looking forward to this!

Meeting an old classmate.
Visual Novel

It's a short lil visual novel. I like Jeremy and his skrunkly appearance and the fact that there is quite an interesting lil story behind him. I wished we learned a lil bit more about him but for the length I think it's suitable for itself. The ending cards are pretty fun to collect so go wild with em.

Help your hopeless romantic best friend, Beau, on a date!!
Visual Novel

It's a short and simple visual novel, which is a given because this is the developer's first game. It has your typical visual novel setting with a small (but impactful) twist at the end, I truly hoped that the endings could have extended a lil bit more to give more clarity to the situation, but other than that it was a fun little visual novel to digest through.

But the story itself is interesting, you get led on by the MC into thinking that MC themselves has the makings of a Yandere (which is very interesting to read through a Yandere MC!) but they still retain morals and respect towards their friend. But then the ending?? That twist was so shocking but also kinda sucks for the MC because it just proves that they'll never be more than a friend, and now a casualty.

Visual Novel

As of now, it's a simple concept visual novel. There isn't a demo yet but with the premise itself I'm very intrigued at. It may be due to my inexperience with many visual novels, but I haven't played a visual novel with a yandere therapist. I've only played one and it was Dr. Morgan's Counselling Session, so I'm looking forward for this one!

Date this shy & cute guy.
Visual Novel

Despite it being a bit more random than I initially thought, it does have a player death in one of the endings but it really isn't a big deal. It feels comedic and almost satire in a way. Though there are some challenges before you even play the visual novel because you'll need to move some files within it, and I'm already not much of a techy person sadly. There are some suggestive langauge (and some profanity) and while it gives off the yandere, well, not much is known about the character himself and how he gained sentience and all that. Though I think it was meant to be a joke? I'm not sure, but either way it was a fun little visual novel to laugh at.

A narrative adventure game.
Adventure

For now, I'm putting this here since I actually didn't explore the 2 death endings so I can't be sure if there was an onscreen violence or whatnot. But so far there are 4 endings and with the desk, you don't need to constantly interact with it since the creator said they weren't able to grey it out so you knew not to bother with it anymore. It's a slow paced game with simple little tricks you can use to outmaneuver the demons within the mansion, the 3rd and 4th ending intrigued me so I'm hoping an update will come along to explain it~!

Unfunny, Evil, Kills you on impact.
Visual Novel

Even with the context I am still lost, actually in fact the context had nothing to do with the game itself and sent me spiraling and confusion. Nice little visual novel though. I feel like if I've played the actual game it's a parody of I'd get some context but right now, this feels like a vivid real fever experience.

God's mistake, yours to partake~
Visual Novel

I--

I really don't know, but this felt like an entire fever dream that was cut extremely short and you're grappling to find some sort of coherence or rationality but your mind went "Lmao, no." and now you bear the consequences of remembering that weird vivid dream.

Since it's a jam, there's a lot of limitation. Because of that, the plot has taken a hit due to it but there are cool ideas about it! The browser version doesn't work (for me at least) so I had to download it, but it was a nice little game to get started and have fun with.

This game is connected to two other games, I played them and wow did it feel nostalgic and awesome to see the connections ahahaha. I enjoyed the exploration and also the dynamic of John and MC, especially with John dragging MC off into misadventures.
