Time To Get A Heart MonitorPage 2

Ah yes, here we are. For a scaredy cat I sure love to torture myself-- I did say I am interested in yandere visual novels but I am also interested in creepy games where I don't move so I'm stuck in one place, that way I won't feel the need to scream if I have to move a millimeter. Believe me, I can scream just from moving one inch  o(TヘTo)

Other than that, don't expect too much horror here, if I did play one I'm pretty sure I'd full on die. That or I'd quit midway because my own heart can't handle the stress of whatever monstrosity I decided to foolishly play.... ( ノ ゚ー゚)ノ

I've also belatedly put in which games are for 18+ and which may be for 16+ with content warnings since I completely forgot to do it. Admittedly I didn't think anyone would check out but with the amount of times I've unknowingly spammed people who follow me with my activity, I thought I should wise up and give the appropriate warning, especially for minors.

Death by fire means born of fire.
Visual Novel

This Visual Novel states that the Demo Version is SFW however subsequent updates will be 18+. The Demo Version contains content warnings such as: stalking, off-screen murder, implied torture, kidnapping, and small blood. These were taken from my experience with the game. Please be advised, and play at your own risk.

My god, I played this for the LI who looks like Scaramouche/Wanderer from Genshin Impact and I stayed for the interesting story there is. So far, we don't know much about what happened to either MC or Arson (LI) but we can glean a few things. With Arson, it's obvious to see what happened to him, however MC doesn't make note about the accident, as if them having amnesia isn't a big factor of their life.

Through the Tumblr post of the developer, we do learn that they have hinted that the reason MC might not be so concerned about the accident and their amnesia is due to someone but as of now we don't know. We do know that a housefire happened which disfigured Arson (based on his mask) and caused him a lot of trauma while MC gained amnesia (maybe from the lack of oxygen due to the fumes or being hit in the head by the debris). Aside from that, it's all a mystery~

Visual Novel

This Visual Novel explicitly states it's for 18+ audiences with content warnings such as: Cannibalism, Red Rooms, murder, body horror, disturbing art, stalking, gore, and death. Most of these were taken from my gameplay of the visual novel. Please be advised, only play when you're the intended age, and play at your own risk.

------------------------------------------------

Remember the last entry where I said that MC really didn't have any happy endings? Well this one one ups it by giving MC a false sense of security because while MC doesn't die in any endings, they sure as hell are gonna wish they died.

There are 4 endings, and all endings have the same kind of formula where MC is kidnapped by Dead Meat, a mysterious kidnapper who kidnaps victim to use for his live streaming of the Red Room in the dark web. But in each variation, I think they affect the sanity levels of MC since there is only one ending where both of MC's closest friends don't get fucked up. But that ending is where we get a bit of clues that Dead Meat specifically targeted MC for some unknown reason.

Another thing to note is to never mess with the dark web no matter how much you think you can side step all the bullshit. If you ain't gonna commit to the paranoia, horror, and addiction-- Just don't do it.

Someone's at your door.
Visual Novel

This Visual Novel explicitly states it's for 18+ audiences with content warnings such as: Mild flashing, Stalking, and Gaslighting or Manipulation.  These were taken directly from the game page. Please be advised, only play when you're the intended age, and play at your own risk.

------------------------------------------------

This is a really well-polished demo and I have to say, if the tumblr and the start up screen for Lurking for Love didn't explicitly show that Jacob was the yandere, you may have not known since Jacob would be able to deflect some of the MC's questions with more reasonable excuses. Though I did play the oblivious MC route, there are some great little excuses Jacob uses though some of them are pretty paper thin.

Regardless of that, the art is the right amount of good and creepy looking which complements the background and the music choice. The story is pretty engaging and easy to get sucked in, especially with how it feels "normal" over all but there are those snippets that forces you to think that shit isn't all that you see.

Very much enjoyed it despite getting my heart palpitating in fear at the end of the demo!

Cute tapeworm horror visual novel
Visual Novel

This Visual Novel doesn't specifically state whether or not it's for 18+ audiences but based on my experience it is for 18+ with content warnings such as: cult themes, gore, parasites, grotesque sounds, violence, depictions of sickness, blood, body horror, and death. This was taken from my experience with it. Please be advised, only play when you're the intended age, and play at your own risk.

------------------------------------------------

Alright so first off. It's very kinda gross because of the themes of parasites, gore, and the art does not hold back on it. The sounds are also used quite strategically to enhance the uncomfortableness of the situation.

Despite looking pastel and cute, the story is downright insidious especially with how plausible it can happen (cult shenanigans and whatnot). There really is no way out of it and you can't help but feel awful for Pudding (our MC) for going through with this bullshit.

It's also pretty easy to get the endings so you won't have a hard time with it. The hard time is having to choose which one you think is "good"...

the doctor will see you now.

This Interactive Fiction is intended for 18+ audiences with content warnings such as: sexual assault (including upon the main character), gory depiction of murder and dead bodies, domestic abuse, psychological trauma, allusions to child abuse, consensual sex scenes, and other content warnings within the chapters which will specify. These were taken directly from the start up screen of the game. Please be advised, only play when you're the intended age, and play at your own risk.

------------------------------------------------

Despite it only having a prologue and a chapter one I found this very interesting! I love the build up of the story and its progression, not only that but I like how we don't just focus on the MC but we also see the other lives of other characters (though, so far it was the victim).

The way the story was set up is quite intriguing, and you become interested in the mystery surrounding MC and their family. And, admittedly, it is quite novel for me to play a serial killer MC and not just a Detective or Bystander MC so I found it very much interesting. Not only that, but as you read through the LIs that will come, you become interested how their stories intertwine with MC and just how dark it can be, especially when MC can be as cold and cruel of a monster as we can make them out to be.

But for me, I was going for the morally twisted and trapped MC. I genuinely can't wait to learn more about MC's story more than the rest of the characters, and I can't help but look forward to the plot's progression and what karma will bring to MC.

HIS LOVE IS ETERNAL. HIS LIGHT IS ETERNAL.
Interactive Fiction

This Visual Novel doesn't specifically state whether or not it's for 18+ audiences but based on the content warnings I can say it's somewhat for 16+ with content warnings such as:  death, cults, nonsexual nudity, abuse, and descriptions of body horror and gore. Please be advised, and play at your own risk.

------------------------------------------------

Dude, this is intense in writing. You can really feel the emotions well up in you as you progress through the plot. The worldbuilding here is subtle yet insane, really pulls you in the atmopshere and how twisted the world is. I'd be very curious regarding the actual cult itself and wanting to explore more with our MC, Death, especially with how ironic their name suggests.

There's an interesting plot going on here, especially with how connected it is to another series the developer is working on and I love how it blends together. Not only that but each character design for teh Major Arcana is seriously good and unique from one another which helps to break the monotony of everything else.

It can get pretty intense especially in the Endings, but visually there is no graphic violence, it can only be found in the text so goodluck with that!

A twisted yandere romance with a pair of poly LIs.
Visual Novel

This Visual Novel is for 18+ audience with a laundry list of trigger warnings and content warnings. Seriously, click the link if you are of age and check on the warnings just in case. Please be advised, only play when you're the intended age, and play at your own risk.

------------------------------------------------

I am devastated I cannot center that line break. This is sad boi hours--

Anyway, focusing on the visual novel itself-- It's a seriously great visual novel. It doesn't have visceral disturbing images but the way the narration describes the abominations and the atrocities that have been done to other people, MC, and even to the LIs. The amount of gray morality there is in this game is wonderful and you begin to wonder if the LIs are as bad as everyone makes them to be (yes, but only if you appeal to them so they become more lenient to you).

I just love the worldbuilding and the story telling in this is just superb, funky lil thing! I love how we get to see more of it and the history of it, honestly it's more interesting than the actual world we live in :')

I'd recommend it but you'd have to tread cautiously with it, I didn't choose the bad options because I want to live but either way, read through the content and trigger warnings to prepare yourself for what is to come.

do you promise to help me out and love me forever~? ♡
Visual Novel

This Visual Novel doesn't explicitly state whether or not it's for 18+ audiences but based on my experience it's for 18+ with content warnings such as: depictions of severe mental illness, self-harm, suicide, drug abuse, nymphomania, scenes with flashing/eye strain, and vomit. All of these were taken in the game's start up screen. Please be advised, only play when you're the intended age, and play at your own risk.

------------------------------------------------

GODDAMMIT I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT BUT I KEEP GETTING COCKBLOCKED BY THE OBSESSION ENDING WHERE NICO TURNS FULL YANDERE.

This is what I get for consistently playing yandere visual novels. Something in my aura is basically alerting nearby yanderes of my status, that and I just keep enabling this fucker.

Listen-- LISTEN HE REALLY NEEDS LOVE, AFFECTION, CARE, AND LOVE. AND I AM HERE, I AM A FOUNTAIN OF IT. That and he cutie boi.

But jokes aside, it's a really good visual novel that has a good story to it, a depressing story that's true, but a good story nonetheless. Not only that, but Nico's reaction to the situation he's in and the destructive methods he uses are actually understandable if not painful to us. His character reminds me of so many people I know and are aware of, and the fact that these issues stem deeply within him just-- It tugs a heart! ... That may also be another reason why I keep getting the Obsession Ending since I keep indulging him but also trying to stay firm...

It also is pretty easy to replay again and again, especially when it's so easy to get a bad ending, at least for me. Highly recommend to play it, but do be mindful of the warnings as Nico does not hold back about the shit he feels and thinks about.

Man, this was a doozy. I have felt very unnerved, uncomfortable, and terrified playing through this. One of its main points is the voice acting, the voice acting for the Narrator is terrifyingly amazing and impressive. The way he speaks sounds unnerving and the mock, swears, laughter, and everything is very off-putting and makes you paranoid.

Not only that, but the entire situation is beyond unfair for Charles and you watch as he spirals and being pushed to this point all while being trapped constantly being verbally and emotionally abused, as well as being trapped with the Narrator who seems to have an unhealthy attachment towards Charles and swings between adoring him for all the wrong reason to demeaning and mocking him.

It's all highly impressive, adore it! But I do say to play it downloaded instead of the browser since I had trouble with it.

An R-18 Visual Novel that has certain dark and suggestive elements in some routes so take caution as you play the game.

This Visual Novel explicitly states that it's for 18+ audiences with content warnings such as: Unhealthy Obsession, Blood & Implied Murder, Emotional Manipulation, Supernatural Horror, and Sexual Scenes and Imagery. These were taken from both the game page and the start up screen of the game. Please be advised, only play when you're the intended age, and play at your own risk.

As of now, it's a short demo that serves as a brief introduction not only to the LIs but to our MC also. I like the MC here despite them being a nervous trainwreck, I feel as though this kind of MC complements the different LIs as they tie to one another being cohesive.

Since it's a short demo, there's not much horror aspect other than a brief stalking(?) scene and reported sightings of multiple crimes occuring. But since it's pretty evident that the rating of this visual novel is going to happen, I put it here for the time being.

Not gonna lie, since I was attracted to his pathetic eager vibes I didn't respond angrily nor did I call the cops on him so I'm not very sure about the other endings where Sasha may snap but hey, we got some sexual content for the boy. Not gonna lie, there's not much horror aspect from what I experience (though I'm biased) so it's more on the high or dry side but there is some potential to it. More so on the fact that MC could be corrupted by Sasha, though this is my own personal take.

I say this because when I saw Sasha and his actions, I didn't think "Hey, stranger danger pervert spotted!" but instead I thought "... Oh my god I want to fuck him up" which is quite like, he was so submissive that whatever non-existent dom side (if there was any) just reared its head and said "That one, that one" and ran with it.

Of course I'm not sure what the actual plan is but regardless of it I'm looking forward to the development!

Sara's classmate keeps watching her and she just can't ignore it. She's tried, but something just isn’t right...
Visual Novel

This Visual Novel doesn't explicitly state whether or not it's for 18+ but due to the nature of its contents, it may be for 17+ with content warnings such as: flashing lights, depictions of mature themes, blood, and violence. These were taken directly from the start up screen of the game. Please be advised and play at your own risk.

----------------------

At first, it may be because I couldn't empathize with being a paranoid person since I felt a bit annoyed at how focused the MC (Sarah) was about her classmate, Tyler, constantly staring at her. But I think it may come from the fact I never experienced these kinds of situations or because I have a lack of awareness around my surroundings (that being, I'm not conscious of what other people think or say about me) so I had to power through the story.

But it does have a twist and the storytelling is quite cinematic. Could give this a try to other people.

Visual Novel

This Visual Novel doesn't explicitly state whether or not it's for 18+ but it contains content warnings such as: stylized blood and gore, violence, flashing images and sudden loud noises, occasional strong language. There are more content warnings however they were hidden under a spoiler. These were taken directly from the game page. Please be advised and play at your own risk.

-----------------------------

This genuinely scared me, I think it was because of the small jumpscares that are used as well as the clever usage of sounds. Not only that but I like Vance as a character whose not only pathetic and can manipulate the more soft hearted players (it's me, I'm that bitch) but can also terrify us when it gets too much for him and he just wants us all to himself.

Throughout the multiple endings (and I mean, multiple) you get to learn a bit more about Vance and his life but not a lot which helps appeal to the mystery. Regarding the visual novel itself, yes it's short but it has a strong replayability to it. I suggest you write down your choices and make small changes if you want to collect all the endings (I'm not sure if there are 16 or 17 and I am honestly tired of getting the same cg or prompts tbh), or you could try to use the Achievements Guide or Game Guide that the developer made which I have in my comment (which is spoiler free since the game is so short I didn't want to spoil it). The sad thing about it is that it doesn't have a counter of how many endings there are and whatnot but eh, I suppose it may be a ploy for you to replay again and again, which I don't mind because hey! More Vance hehehe~

-------------------------------------

Honestly, what I love about this visual novel isn't just the art and the celver use of the music (it's really atmospheric) but the build up of the story. You think you know what's happening but the visual novel dunks on you and laughs as you have to reconsider what you know about these characters and the assigned roles you have set for them.

It's a kinetic visual novel with no choices yet despite that it manages to tell an interesting story in just about 20 minutes all while with a wonderful ending. Thankfully, it wasn't so terrifying for me that I was able to finish it ahahaha

This Visual Novel is intended for 18+ audiences with content warnings such as: gory/surrealistic scenes, cannibalism, murders, stalking and unpleasant sounds, violence, blood, hints of 4th wall breaking, dismemberment, swearing, sexual hints, and disturbing imagery. Good Lord this was a terrifying run.

It's pretty fast paced but it gets balanced by how absolutely batshit insane Nick is, like we only have a few scenes with him but I assure you, he disturbs and scares the living shit outta me. The MC is pretty crass but also human, so the fact that somebody like them got entangled with Nick is pretty depressing (also the shit he'll do to MC...).

I'll be honest, Nick feels like an unconventional yandere, while most yandere tropes have the yandere in question love the MC in their entirety (both good and bad), Nick seems to only like MC to specific things never the entirety of them so it adds to how inhumane and horrible he is. But the mystery of him and just how deranged he is just makes me fascinated by his insanity and the fact that each individual option will drastically affect the route you are in and the different endings. So far, from what I experienced there are 3 endings (2, 3, and 4) and there's no Ending 1 yet.

This lil one deserves a place here because holy shit, Ending 3? Terrifying me while Ending 4 is like that silent horror that creeps into you. Also MC, poor dude in Ending 2...

EDIT:

Oh my god.

OH MY GOD.

The full game?? Was so bonkers, oh my godddddd. It was at an insane level of twistedness, depravity, and just-- absolutely mayhem! It's literally the embodiment of Dead Dove: Do Not Eat, because those warnings?? Yup, they're used constantly. I have never been terrified of a game character in a visual novel, but Nick??? NICK?? FUCKER TERRIFIED ME IN ALL ENDINGS 9 ENDINGS INCLUDING THE TRUE ENDING LIKE WHAT THE FUCK???

Highly recommend playing it if you can handle the warnings, they censored the gore but, ya know, your imaginations~ Either way, I'm not joking this is so good not only in a storytelling aspect, but great with its mechanics. Absolutely insane, I love it.

It doesn't have any blood or gore, just unsettling sounds and rising tension. Please be advised, and play at your own risk.

-----------------------------------

Goddamn this certainly was an experience. There was nothing outright scary about it. No images, no jumspcares, no loud noises -- it was all quiet and eerie. It mastered that climb of suspense as well as terrifying the shit out of me with its interesting story and the way it painted a vision. Highly recommend to try it out!

A yandere VN where you meet a strange man who really wants to paint you and won't take no for an answer.

This Visual Novel does not explicitly state whether or not this game is for 18+ but based on the warnings it could be for 17+, with content warnings such as: depiction of blood, as well as a character who manipulates and gaslights the player. So far, it's laying out the foundation of the world that MC lives in. MC is pretty spineless and with a "healthy" dosage of good old imposter syndrome. Things take a turn for the curious where we meet our good old yandere, Zecherian (god  hope I spelled his name right) who looks like he is either to pull off an evil guy in a labcoat but failing(?) and only making them hot. The manipulation and mind control feels a little... weak? I'm looking forward for a bit more but so far it's pretty satisfactory.

This is my first dip into the survival horror yandere visual novels and whoo-boy, it was a bit intense not gonna lie. The hilarious thing for me is that I was heading off to a good start surviving before deciding to save and then try different options, all of which I died so yep, staying with Noah is apparently the best decision there is. Not only that, but the plot itself is curious as I feel as though we are plopped in the middle of the story where MC locks their memories away leaving behind a defenseless amnesiac MC behind. While I am curious about Noah, main survival is MC's survival, but I am sure as hell Noah's shady secrets are gonna be what kills us.

DUDE THIS IS REALLY GOOD.

Of course it isn't your expected "Holy hell it's really polished with a custom GUI, well drawn model, custom backgrounds" and so on and so forth. It's got some awkward grammar, fast and weird pacing, and some weird plot points but honestly it just adds to the charm and while the mystery is pretty short-lived (with the mystery being "Who killed these people?" already being solved as soon as well look at the game) I think one of its main strength is the writing of Ghost, our only LI.

We know Ghost is the murderer, no big deal, but the way that Ghost spirals at the end to reveal what he is just makes it *chef's kiss*. Not only that, but Ghost is a pretty unique yandere in some aspects. I can't really list them out because it's a major spoiler and the endings themselves (hell, even the bad ending!) is really good and I highly suggest you collect them all because there is no real consequences (no "death" I mean) and honestly it's really nice to read the fucked upness that MC experienced because of Ghost.

Highly recommend trying it out!

Oh jesus christ was this one hell of a doozy ride, I'm just gonna say it sufficiently spooked me but not enough that I didn't want to continue playing the game, but not enough that I actually wanted to fully explore the game's choices and options.

The stampede, crowd, and so on were done so well and the trampling scenarios are just painful to read through. Not only that but when you do get face to face with the entity that hunts down this crowd, you get sufficiently spoke a hell lot of me, and the ending where you get the true ending?? Damn, sent shivers down my spine...

Visual Novel

This Visual Novel is intended for 18+ audience with content warnings such as: glitches, derealization, game breaking, metagame breaking, 4th Wall Breaking, psychological thrill, mindgames, and general yandere shenanigans. These were all taken through my playthrough. Please be advised, only play when you're the intended age, and play at your own risk.

--------------------------------

Not gonna lie, it was a real interesting experience. It generally doesn't feel like a yandere vn but more like a vn with subtle horror, it goes somehow both slow yet fast and it gave me some existential crisis on some parts. It was curious and interesting, especially with the endings. The plot itself is interesting as it feels different from what you think is the standard yandere visual novel.

And the art and effects?? God they are absolutely great and I love looking at them, looking forward to the update~!

Edit:

OH MY GOD THE NEW UPDATE. IT OFFERS SO MUCH IN TERMS OF LORE AND ESPECIALLY HOW GAME BREAKING THIS VISUAL NOVEL IS, LIKE THE 4TH WALL? DECEASED, GIRL IS IN THE GRAVE GETTING BURIED. But like Echo_Echo?? Damn son is really that he isn't as unhinged nor feral like Inf3rn0, but he is pretty delusional yet capable, motherfucker really pulled a game code on us... And also, remember when I said that there wasn't much yandereness? Well Echo_Echo readily supplies it with it no matter how quick and efficient he is! (Though that applies to one ending... Motherfucker really was willing to leave us high and dry, sad).

Highly recommend to go digging through the game files! There's a lot more secrets to it~!

Visual Novel

This Visual Novel doesn't explicitly state whether or not it's for 18+, but due to the nature of the VN and the fact that it is connected to another VN that IS for 18+ I decide that is for 18+ audience with content warnings such as: loud music, blurry and disturbing images, depictions of mental illness, mentions of self-harm, and toxic self-talk wherein the character constantly verbally abuses themselves. These content warnings were taken from my experience. Please be advised, only play when you're the intended age, and play at your own risk.

Man, this was such a rollercoaster of emotions. Mostly dread, sorrow, and horror. There wasn't any sort of horror where there was no monster or the big bad, it's just the nature of someone who is mentally ill and severely suffering from it. It's dreadful and bleak, especially reading through the dialogue.

It's short but shows just how much in pain Liu is and the thoughts that cloud his mind. Dark thoughts that make you want to close your eyes because it either hits too deep within you or it hurts to read through and know someone is in pain through all that.

It's connected to its Main Game which is "Glass Mind Day 1" made by the same creator.

This Visual Novel doesn't explicitly state whether or not it's for 18+ but since it's a yandere, at least 17+ would work well, it contains content warnings such as: stalking and unhealthy obsession. These were taken directly from the game page. Please be advised, and play at your own risk.

This is a refreshing visual novel wherein the yandere is actually our MC. Arlon is pretty closed off and looks hard to be with, apathetic and cold, but he's very attached to Owen though we don't see much of their interaction, and maybe it's intentional as we see how far Arlon has fallen for Owen all while he remains oblivious to it. For the most part, the demo has us reading the calm but insane chatterings of Arlon and the things he went through to "protect" Owen though so far he hasn't killed anyone.... yet. There also exists the possibility that we, as Arlon, fight against other yanderes?? Because if so that would be totally cool!

My sweet darlin, will you dream for me?
Visual Novel

This Visual Novel (?) doesn't explicitly state whether or not it's intended for 18+ audience, but from my experience it may be for 17+ for its content warnings such as: obsessive behavior, Emotional Manipulation, Claustrophobia, Grotesque Imagery, and Isolation. These were taken directly from the game page and starter screen but are not fully present in the demo itself. Please be advised, and play at your own risk.

---------------------------------

It's not really a visual novel made in Renpy but in RPG Maker, but doesn't contain any need to move. Its got this dream-like state to this with beautiful imagery and the LI(?) in this is very unique, like, the design is pretty interesting and breaks out from the usual human LIs there are. The design is pretty creative and fits with his personality. The mystery itself is pretty intriguing and the horror aspects begin to show nearing the very end, but the buildup itself is pretty good.

EDIT: The plot is being rewritten and now it features a lot more curiosity, more so because the direction it took is genuinely curious because of how well everything is going on. The art really caught my attention as well as how confusing everything is. HIghly recommend to play this and just experience it as well as wanting to decode the codes found during the dialogue of the character "Dream Waker(?)".

This visual novel really would have deceived me... Its got such a painterly feeling to it and cozy vibes, not only that but Chester is such a comforting figure and he's quite endearing... But based on the description and the first gallery image, it ain't anything like so... Still looking forward to it.

But it also has the promise of having a platonic yandere! Which is pretty rare (from what I know) so I'm curious how that dynamic works out!

This is a prequel to the developer's first Visual Novel, "Dr. Morgan's Counseling Session". You can really tell a lot of omprovements were made such as the art of Oliver's sprite being more dynamic and refined, a lot of options, the plot being a lot more dynamic, the sound effects, and so on. Not only that, but there are a lot more endings where you can explore and have fun!

Really enjoyed myself playing this hehehehe~!

This Interactive Fiction doesn't explicitly state whether or not it's for 18+ audience, but based on my playthrough of it, I suppose it can be for 18+ with content warnings such as: violence, gore, drug & alcohol use, strong language, abuse, mentions of suicide. These were taken directly from the game page. Please be advised, and play at your own risk.

It's quite rich in violence however it's not super detailed so there's not a lot of detailed violence, however it is there and it doesn't shy from it. I'm enthralled by the interaction and how the MC reacts to the trauma that's resurfacing. The mystery of the plot keeps you intrigued and involved, especially regarding the cult story. And though the cult trope is a bit overrated, it plays a kind of subtle tone wherein they were a very big force at the start of the chapter but as new chapters come in, they're more lowkey and sort of a quiet terror. Highly looking forward to how it plays out with such an overused trope!

Could you fall for a sinner?

As of now, at the time of playing the demo, there hasn't been any of these content warnings showing up aside from blackmail but as the demo continues with development. I believe that these warnings are about to show up.

It's quite short, but there is the exposition of the plot. "Roman" (the villain of whom you romance) is pretty threatening and intimidating in just a few scenes, and they work fast... Very fast to entrap the MC. Which I am curious about because why MC? I'm sure it will be explained further within the story but so far? MC ain't having a good time.

Also MC reacts with a bit more reality to their situations, they don't instantly simp despite them acknowledging that Roman is pretty, instead they see Roman as this awful person and rightfully so because of the circumstances leading up to them being blackmailed in being Roman's partner in crime. Fellas, those who like a good enemies-to-lovers moment, we about to feast on this.
