Continuing downward from the castle grounds will bring you into the ice stage. The first challenge of the ice stage is essentially a path-choosing memory game. Ana is sliding down an icy tunnel, and her only way of controlling where she goes is by leaning left or right or staying centered. In some areas, she can also make a 'hard right' or 'hard left' verses a regular right or left. The player will be prompted to choose a direction at each break in the slide. The first couple direction choices will always lead to the same place, but following the Save prompt, a wrong choice will result in a Game Over. The player can easily get through this area simply through trial-and-error, and I recommend keeping notes of the directions chosen to avoid any extra unnecessary deaths; however, if you're in a hurry, the correct directions are: 

R R C R R (HR) R R C (HR) (HL) R L R R R, and then, the player can choose L to discover a hidden cutscene or R to reach the end of the ice slide. If you proceed to the end of the slide, walk back along the path until hearing Tomoya's voice. He will open an exit.

Once out of the ice cave, make sure to hit the Letter (it is a little hard to see against the white snow, so I've circled it below.) 

In this next area, keep moving forward.

Just keep moving forward. Definitely do not stop at any point or look back.

ProTip: Following the automatic Save trigger, cut corners closely and don't be afraid of the pits (you will not fall into them). When you make it to the next map, run immediately to the right and cross the bridge to escape, and to find one more Letter in the snow.
