MMORPG :3 yes I can build it and I'm having fun

Hey, I'm a professional software engineer, and I have worked on development for rapid MVP development and lead them to scale. However, it's time to I return to game development the thing that made me want to program in the first place.

Game title: The Dawn Crusade

So, first off I'm using godot with C# and doing custom networking for instanced sections and player hubs(cities/towns).

This game is inspired by the games I grew up with where the fun came from storytelling, and skill based gameplay, and tabletop influence(guild wars, kotor and dragon age origins.

Progress: I have made the core stat and combat systems for the player and enemies, and I'm progressing into the item and inventory system, oh and I did the main ui system which is pretty nifty since it captures the players and NPCs that enter to only register the systems on them when they are in the view of a player.

Random thoughts: my game is more focused then massive tbh I think I would call it more of a Competitive Online Role-Playing Game (CORPG) where you have both the pve system or pvp system that both rewards players for playing and contributing to a good community

Unique ideas: I have come up with a balancing system for handling player behavior in weighted voting for experience gain for certain elements based on player interactions and voting, which should help alleviate negative play styles that harm community. It's a fun concept that I look forward to releasing :)
