Getting over it, it being myself

I seriously need to stop using itch.io's integrated text editor to type up these posts. Twice now have I lost entire finished posts because I refreshed or clicked off by mistake

In my first blog I mentioned my game development short comings, always a project starter never a project finisher kinda deal. Well I feel like I've jumped, or at least partly jumped that hurdle.

Modded minecraft and several dnd campaigns may have my attention but I keep returning to game dev.

I've thought much on the future as I work on Mech Among Men and have come to a conclusion. Mech among men will stay a small project. I'm going to finish it but in the matter of weeks, not months. I feel as though what I've scoped out will be easier to achieve than first thought, and not much more can be expanded from that base.

However this comes with two caveats. Caveat one is I am leaving it open to the possibility of returning to the project at some point, and caveat duex, I'm going to scope larger for my next more full time project untitled deep water horror game.

Art was actually a defining factor in my decision to not stick with mech among men, or lack there of. I am using free pixel art for all assets as i possess exactly 0 2D art talent. I'd love to hire an artist but for a free product I cant justify any real investment.

The horror game however should be largely easier to make an at least decent style. As shown before I've kind of got the feeling down but improving and iterating shouldn't be difficult.

A shorter blog today, an update on afairs. I had once a much better version of this blog but itch givith and itch does not auto save.
