Things to keep in mind in a co-op bundle!

Most co- bundles don’t turn out the way the host/participants expected it. These are some key items that are overlooked in most co-op bundle (This is more of a FAQ).

Co-op Bundles is a cooperative effort: If you join a cooperative bundle, it is your responsibility to make sure that the bundle is marketed and presented properly. Imagine in a bundle of 5 participants only 2 took actively took part in marketing the bundle, do you think the bundle will be as successful if all of them took part? This is a very important point in a bundle and a huge determinant of a bundle success.

Bundles getting recreated: A Bundle has every tendency to be recreated and that is because as soon as a member(s) chooses not to partake in a bundle after bundle creation, the bundle has to be recreated (Itch.io Co-op Bundle System does not allow editing of participants). This is why BE usually put longer Approval period depending on the size of bundle.

Bundle not appearing generally on search and browse: This is due to the bundle containing either NFSW marked content or an item that is not yet indexed.

Revenue sharing unequal among participants when it is supposed to be: The host of a bundle is not allowed to divide revenue sharing percentages into decimals. That is, a bundle with a number of participants that isn’t a factor of 100 the splits will be unequal for some participants. For example, a bundle of 51 participants, 48 participants will get 2% and while the remaining 2 will get 1%. The only solution to this is to contact support to even it out.

Itch.io Support Response Time: The host of an itch.io bundle can contact itch.io support to fix issues in a bundle. The most common are removal of unapproved participants, balancing of splits and filling of a bundle from a jam. Itch.io Support response time varies from days to even months.
