Progress

Well, here we are again. Last time I posted, I was gearing up to get back into development after a difficult year. So, how’s that been going?

The good news is that good progress has been made! I’ve been working on implementing a new map system inspired by Moonstone, which will link the levels together. I've also been working on the in game scripting to allow character interaction and progress the game's story. On that note, I’ve also been reading up on various Arthurian legends to help with writing the story. There’s so much material to draw from, and I want to make sure the game feels properly steeped in that mythology rather than just using the names and calling it a day.

Now, the bad news... work on the game is going to have to hit the brakes again. I won’t bore you with the details, but let’s just say that real life has a way of throwing unexpected obstacles in the way. I’d love nothing more than to dedicate all my time to this, but right now, other things have to take priority.

That being said, this isn’t me shelving the project. The plan is still to make the best game we possibly can, and I feel like the changes I’ve made so far are going to pay off in the long run. The road to release might not be smooth, but we’ll get there. Eventually.

As a quick aside, although I haven't had the time over the last few weeks to progress Rise of the Round Table, I have had a few minutes here and there to get back into Spectrum Next develop and it's keeping my programming itch at bay.

That's completely normal: everyday life, family, commitments, job, etc. naturally come first!

We will be happy when time and circumstances allow you to continue working on the game again. All the best!

Thanks, Primax, it's so frustrating though. I don't dislike my job but I'd much rather be making Amiga games instead.
