First attempts to share progress

So, here’s what I have so far in my match-3 game: classic gameplay (no illustrations yet since the sprites aren’t loading—working on that), game menu, difficulty level/enemy selection, a skills shop that looks like a website from the '90s, and a whole lot of scripts. I should note that Claude tends to get stuck on visual tasks, like creating sliders and animations from scratch, but it performs much better with things like the skills shop and connecting all the database files. I’m currently building this game in Unity 6, and I wouldn’t say the AI struggles with it too much. Some interface elements have changed, but as soon as I let it know, it’s as if it reads all the Unity updates from the past six months and starts working its magic. Honestly, it feels strange how quickly I’m progressing—it's only been six days since I started writing/copying code in an engine I first saw six days ago, and C# is just as new to me.

At the same time, I’m so excited because every small achievement feels like magic—“Wow, it’s clickable and moves!” Unlike SFML, where you’d need to invent gravity and dive through your entire school math curriculum just to make Mario pull off some intense calculus-level parkour. To sum up this post, I’m about 40% of the way to something coherent. I’m hoping I won’t encounter any major issues along the way that could destroy me from the inside.

This post is more about sharing my thoughts and a bit of the material I’ve already got. I’ll be discussing the design with my girlfriend, who’s actually a pretty good artist, so let’s hope for the best. And yes, I’ll try to publish the game wherever I can and see if I can make a bit of money from it, since I spend around $40 a week on myself, and I’m living in Central Europe… money and motivation go hand in hand! Anyway, that’s all for now, back to putting Claude through its paces!
