My First Real Game

Making some good progress on my first real game. I decided to give GDevelop another shot and I'm glad I did. I've been messing around with it and have been learning a lot in the process. Right now, while it's technically playable, it's very much a playground at the moment where each scene is mostly to play with mechanics. I even drew up a series of player sprites to test what size works best and how much detail I can get in, while also working out the different animations I'll need. It's been a fun process so far.

It may not be much at the moment, but I'm proud of myself for what I've been able to put together in the span of a few days. I unintentionally made draggable platforms, figured out jump pads, and even an anti-gravity area. I'm excited to see where I can with this. I've got some ideas for the art and what I want to do. I'm thinking underground ruins. I used a random game jam theme generator and landed on discovery, and I think it'll work out perfectly with what I want to do.
