Hello There! I got some exciting news about the Print Update of Myths & Masters! As stated before, this update brings new classes, possible races and an overall expansion of the rules to fit my vision of what the Print Update should bring to the table.
RACES: The core 8 races are virtually unchanged, though classic options such as Elves, Half-Elves and Dwarves are much closer to AD&D's racial options. Our more-than-meets-the-eyes Halflings are still very much there though, and Mouselings got a light redesign that better fits their fluff (pun intended). If I can source the art, I'll be adding the Half-Orc and Faunblood (Old Worlde Tiefling variant) races, but planned exotic options like Gryphons, Giant Eagles, Brass/Silver and Gold Dragon Wyrmlings and more will sadly not make it in this edition.
CLASSES: Almost all classes got an overhaul, again making them closer to the Original Game's conception of them (with the exception of Fighters, which are generally improved and hero-ed up compared to B/X, AD&D, 5E, etc). Two new classes have been added. The Artificer and Woodwose, reimagined versions of the Original Game's Artificer and Druid classes respectively. In addition, I may be adding two more classes out of four options: the Psion, Jester/Fool, Gunslinger and Witch-Hunter. The art for all four is available, and most of these are entirely new classes like the Synthesyst (with the exception of the Psion, which is a reimagined Monk). Comment below which two of these available classes you'd like to see in the game, as well as any feedback you may have.
In terms of new or overhauled rules, progression and XP is getting a major change, going from a simple XP system to a B/X inspired Gold as XP system with different progression tiers based on class types (Fighters v Magic-Users v Specialists). The overall rules are getting an update as well, with a new alignment system, expanded combat and adventuring rules and more. In general, I'm going from more of a rules-light approach to something resembling a "greatest hits" of B/X and 5E, with all the headache-inducing and fiddly bits (IE Vancian magic) simplified, polished or disappeared entirely. Is it a new game? Absoutley not. But it will be slightly crunchier than Shadowdark in many areas, while still easier than retroclones, 5E and other popular systems.
Anyway, that about sums it up. I'll be posting again on my newsletter starting this Wed, so please check that out and subscribe at https://dicebringer.substack.com/ for in-depth class design diaries, updates and lore snippets from the official settings I'm working on!
Until then, take care, Godspeed, and may all your rolls be 20s.

NOTE: The print update has NOT YET RELEASED. This is a devblog. I apologize if that was not made clear enough.
