Yo! Dai here. First blog post here. Wanted to talk about the Thul The Barbarian project.

I wanted to take the chance to thank everyone who played the Game Jam entry. This was the first game I submitted to a game jam that wasn't a completely janky mess. Yes, the game still has areas that it could be improved on, but I'm proud of the work we did. Despite areas of improvement, it seemed like alot of people who played the game enjoyed it. So much so that the team and I decided to make a longer demo version of the game. In other words...

I would like to announce development on Thul The Barbarian has officially started. 

The goal: to release a longer and more polished version of Thul The Barbarian by the summer. Based on the feedback for the Game Jam entry, we're prioritizing fixing the following:

• Repetitive environments
• Animation cancelling for attacking and defending
• Better gravity
• More in-depth combat mechanics
• And more importantly: a longer experience

I've worked on a lot of scrapped game projects, so I know how hard it is to fully commit to a date (in fact, I'm still working on the fangame project for my Gohanverse series). However, to make sure we stay focus on it, I'm setting a tentative date to make sure we get this project done. Not to mention, we plan on re-using and modifying code we used for the game jam version to make development a bit easier.

My schedule is very chaotic at times. Believe or not, I am a mid-size YouTuber and need to make sure I upload content to that channel and work with a few clients. I am not making any promises, but I will do the best I can to post updates for the project as well as post tidbits about Thul's world here.
