JANUARY 2024

Onto a whole new year of devblogs!

This update will be quite sparse since I'm still revving up after the holidays and taking things a bit slowly. I'm also going to be on a short break soon between now and beginning of February.

Most of what I've been up to the past few weeks has been boring behind the scenes admin--updating the task tracker and narrowing down what features should be prioritized in the demo (I guess as an MVP of sorts--doing my best to not put my super serious tech hat on for this). Definitely at the more "boring" stage of game dev now that will make polishing the project much easier.

The priorities for the next couple of months will primarily be:

  • Importing text and testing the narrative system
  • Making sure the game boots up properly (loads menus, credit screens, etc)
  • Storyboarding and finalizing the ending cutscenes

I also took time to make one more UI portrait--no spoilers here but this will be for Sepsis' route.

Other than that, I'll be back around mid-February to give another project update and hopefully share some more art! Thanks for reading!
