One month of cybeRRRevolution!? Thank you for 200+ downloads!

Time really flew by since C3R's release--I can't begin to thank everyone who has played and shared their impressions with me. It was an arduous 4 or so years of development (marked by unemployment and lack of funds) but I'm very happy it still happened in the end.

What's next for cybeRRRevolution? And Brujeria @ Werk?

Here's where I give a big shrug. I had spoken about this on several other places, but the reality is developing C3R took a lot out of me and I need time to recover before making anything else. Not sure when that will be, but I am confident it won't be a game.

I won't go into this here but being in the games industry in general has also just taken a huge toll on my health and wellbeing. I wrote a bit about this over on cohost (RIP) and how in the past year or so I really changed how I view myself in relation to my art. While I'm proud of what I've been able to create via Brujeria @ Werk and with my friends, I need to get back in touch with what actually made me enjoy art. And unfortunately this means taking a long, if not permanent, departure from games.

That doesn't mean it's all over though! I am personally very excited to explore new ways to make art, maybe make a comic or write a book--possibilities are endless here. Maybe it will be through Brujeria @ Werk, maybe it won't. But what I definitely know is I don't consider myself part of the "games industry" anymore, formally at least.

However, I do intend to talk about C3R for several more months to come! I will submit talks, proposals, etc--and I'm always open to chatting with folks who want to write about C3R or showcase it somewhere.

In the end, I look forward to going into a very deep rest, focus on just having fun with my art, and hopefully have something else to share in the distant future.

P.S. If you would like to keep up with my personal art journey, I have set up a blog (with an RSS feed) over on my portfolio site!

Thank you to everyone who has been supporting C3R. I hope many more people get to play it. Tell your friends to play it too!
