Jam Leveling System

This is an informative post for the Panic Horror Jam leveling system

๐Ÿ‘‘=50exp, ๐Ÿ’Ž=25exp, โœจ=10exp, ๐Ÿ€=5exp

This leveling system is purely meant for your joy. You can cheat and you can lie--but just hear me out before you attempt this. It will not satisfy you to participate in a jam like this, and simply avoid all of the grinding to gain rewards. You must consider, that the rewards themselves are worth nothing without effort--and indeed, that effort was the whole point in you joining a game jam at all, right? To challenge yourself. Now, in this leveling system we use swords. These can be thought of as "exp levels." they will determine how many (yes, you keep the rewards of previous levels) rewards you get. More on that in the rewards post.

So there are three things I want you all to understand:

 1) : How the challenges work

2) : How to store exp

3) : Turning in exp for rewards

How the Challenges Work โฌ…๏ธ

I want to make something very, very clear to you. The challenges can each only be completed once PER PROJECT. You can reward every member of the team, but if each member of the team completes a challenge, or you complete that challenge multiple times yourself, please do not over reward yourselves these extra points--only the first one should count. Again, I cannot stop you--you have to keep yourself accountable. However I can encourage you to do this correctly. Remember, game development takes many skills, and one of those is understanding how to keep yourself accountable...so think of this as, a practice!

So again : Only reward you or your team for the first time FOR EACH PROJECT you complete any given challenge.  Do as many challenges as you like.

How to Store Exp

Storing is simple. All you need to do is write down your team's exp amount either in a notebook, or in a Milanote project (or whatever you use for documentation). I would recommend also storing each challenge you complete for each project.

Turning in exp โฌ…๏ธ

So at the end of the jam, You can (if you want rewards) turn in your exp to me via email. Here is my email address : charleythepostman@gmail.com

--also please make sure to tell me what you enjoyed most about the game jam, and what you disliked most--I love to hear feedback!

I will then calculate what Sword you have, and award you accordingly with a reply. Giving  congratulations, and all of the rewards you won throughout the jam. be sure to check out the rewards
