Hi and welcome to another announcement, this time I have (kind of) sad news.
My minimalist horror game "The Third Wheel" is going to be removed from Itch on Sunday the 7th of January.
Why?
I made the game for very wrong personal reasons which I won't explain further, but lets just say I can't be proud of the game in any way. There are also a lot of technical/game design reasons, first of all, I made the game in about 10 hours which resulted in really bad code and the Unity project itself is extremely unorganized. If you "played" the "game", you have probably also realized that there is barely any gameplay, the game is literally just a "Hold the 'D' key Simulator". The story is also quite specific and the lack of context would almost require you to be in the same situation as the main character to relate to anything.
The personal reasons/problems for which I made the game have been resolved a while ago, and this game is nothing but a constant reminder of the situation back then.
I just can't look at my profile page, just to see 2 games I worked hard for and this game, which is absolutely outperforming the other 2, even though I almost put no effort in it whatsoever. Yes, The Third Wheel is actually my most successful game ever, it has a little more views than Devil's Arcade and all the other statistics, downloads, collections, etc... are (for my standards) so high, that they're not even comparable to my other games.
In short:
I made the game for wrong personal reasons and it's also just a very bad "game" in my opinion.
Thanks for your understanding.
