BLOGGI #6 17/10/23

This is something i wanted to mention on the previous bloggi about "VDR" but Simply i've "left behind" on the back of my mind.

You see originally i've wanted to compile and illustrate one of their expansions thinking that was just stand-alone game available only on the internet and seeing that was C.C 3.0 and that the website hasn't been updated since 2018 so i've told to myself t"Hey!! Since this is under the creative commons i could just grab it and compile it unto a PDF, but i could also get sued".

So then i've decided to contact with the originals creators  and told them if they could give me their permission to compile "tripocalypse", the last thing i want to get is a CEASE AND DESIST letter.

Heck i've ask them for some lore explanation since i was thinking on changing some parts of the lore and give it more illustrations and show them some pieces of concept art, but then they've explained me that i could do it anyways sincethe very differents places system  was under the creative commons, but nevertheless they thanked me for asking and they've asked me if they could see it now and told them that i didn't had anything yet just i was planning on doing it, so they tell me that when i was ready i could show them.

That's when i've realised that tripocalypse was just expansion.

And well the rest is history, i've compile the VDR, they remembered that the VDR existed and i gave them a lot of credit wich again you guys should visit their website and ask for their help if you guys have any problem related to tech :

moral of the story : if you find something neat always investigate and if you want to use it always ask for permission, specially if is copyrighted.

(but i'll talk about that in the future.)

So to  finish off this long and overcomplicated story here's one of the finished pieces of concept art for "tripocalypse"
