Dead End Post 2

Playtesting helped me figure out the scale of the map that I wanted to go for. I started out by creating a landscape in Unreal Engine, putting in a mannequin to get a feel of the scope of the map. For this milestone I focused on creating a realistic environment with Quixel mega scan assets to achieve that. One of the only free asset packs that were available on the Epic Games marketplace were the Quixel tree’s and foliage that felt appropriate for the environment that I wish to create. I aimed to create an unsettling forest environment where the player feels like they are always being watched, or something lurking just beyond the flashlight range.
