Okay, after some thinking I did switch engines and went with Unreal 5.3. A LOT heavier than Godot (no surprise there), and the new (5.x) interface takes getting used to. I've done some very minor things in 4.26 or 4.28 (can't remember) but that was almost 3 years ago or so.
But....with the help of the templates Unreal has, I already have the ARPG camera and click-to-move functionality working like I want it to, so on to the fun stuff.
First up is the starting ability of my character, which is the summoning of a minion. Yes, minion. So I need to implement some brains for the minion, at least so that it follows me around. Attacking and more stuff will come after that.
