I'm having a hard time creating the ARPG camera-style movement in Godot. I'm almost there, but it's frustrating to see that I have to jump through hoops to achieve this, whereas I know that in (for example) Unreal it's just a matter of a few clicks and settings on the camera. I switched from 2D to 3D already because 3D isometric ARPGs is what I like to play, so that's what I want to make. To settle for something that I personally don't like doesn't feel right. Fiddling around for almost 2 days now in a month-long Jam doesn't feel right either.
So, I'm contemplating switching to Unreal 5. The assets I'm using (shout out to KayKit) are 3D already, so that should not be a problem. The Jam kinda "dictates" that you use something that you're unfamiliar with, but since I never made a game, and just played around with several engines before, I can basically use any engine.
