Hill Agency is at 2023 Game Devs of Color Expo!

2023 Game Devs of Color Expo - Steam Sale started today and Hill Agency: PURITYdecay is part of this showcase with other amazing games!

Even though it's on Steam, our team has also set some special discounts for the Hill Agency game and its soundtrack album over here on Itch.io, so make sure to check out our bundle for the expo here: https://itch.io/s/101265/gdoc-expo-sale!

We'd also like to invite you for the 'Growing Indigenous Worlds (in Games)' talk from our Creative Leads, Meagan Byrne and Sadekaronhes Esquivel, that will take place over the expo online platform. During this exciting moment, you will discover the creative process behind Hill Agency and the influence of the team's Indigenous worldview in the game story and experience!

For more information about the GDoC Expo, the online talk, and how to buy tickets, go to: https://www.gamedevsofcolorexpo.com/.

Will you move to open source systems like the godot engine to make games? What about the steam deck and linux users? How can there be assurances that let us know that your games and content can be installed on such systems?

Thanks for your question! We're currently in between projects and while we'll never use Unity, switching to open source without a dedicated in-house engineer is pretty out of our future. But there's definitely a regular conversation in-house about engines and where we want to invest in development.

About your Steam Deck and Linux question: even though we haven't yet received official verification from Valve for Steam Deck compatibility, many of our fans have reported that Hill Agency runs smoothly on their Steam Deck. However, at the moment, we don't have the resources to port it to Linux.

Thank you for you reply. I bought your game on Steam and on Itch.io. Itch.io for the DRM free aspect and that you get more money for your work here and on Steam only because I can play your game on the Steam Deck.  I usually buy guys that are playable on many OSes and paltforms since it is easy to buy a guy once and have it available elsewhere. But, I understand how game dev is already hard as it is. Keep up the good work, want to support native works!
