Placeholder Animation Roughs + About Art and Assets (7-1-23)

A quick update to let you all know that work on the game is ramping up.  Getting this the right size for itch.io was a bit of a pain, but here are the roughs for that scene intro in progress. For the actual animation there will be big changes to timing, some looped motions, and some in-engine changes such as camera zoom and panning, but this should give a good idea of the outline of the scene. The final version will be longer and smoother with refined linework, though still a placeholder asset so expect some jank.

Next work session I'll either be getting the proper linework for this underway or finishing one or two of the existing animations that need their top layers done.

In the meantime I've been putting more thought into how exactly I want the art style of this game to look, and I'll be posting some concept art soon to give you all a better idea of the final look I'm going for.

This month will be very hectic, lots of crunch as I keep progress moving while also working on commissions and the like, but by the end of the month I expect to have all of the art assets done with so that August can be all about getting things working.

As always, thank you so much to everyone who is following the project! I'm really happy to get going on this again after such a painful hiatus~
