Hello everyone! Thanks so much to everyone who has tried out my new Star Realms tileset so far! It's been great to see the reception on it these past few days and I'm excited to share with you my plans for future updates, a little more about the series, as well as more packs to come in the series.
So to start, the Star Realms series idea originated from an old witch's cottage interior mockup I did in an old pixel art collab. I really loved the tiles and character I made, and always wished I could turn it into an entire game about a cozy witch who lived in the forest. As I came to the decision to start my own licensed tileset series for Itch.io, I decided to revisit these tiles and expand upon them, so that developers out there may use them for their own games! Thus why I began the series with a little forest tileset, and will expand on this later to include an updated version of my original tiles and character. I will also work on adding more generic and less "witch-y" assets for developers with other ideas! Here is the original mockup, which also acts as a little preview of what's to come!
Here is what I currently have planned for the current roadmap!
Free updates coming to Cozy Forest Tileset:
-Witch sprite in four directions (walking + idle) plus colour variations. (I will also include a version without the witch hat, in case you don't want to make a little witch game with these assets/this character!)
-Item chest
-Cozy cottage exterior
Paid tilesets and assets to come:
-Cozy cottage interior (updated based on the above mockup), which is to be released along the cottage exterior update!
-Recolours of the original cozy forest tileset
-Foraging tiles + icons
-Cave tileset (to put that cave entrance to good use!!)
Some likely asset packs that may come in the future:
-Dense forest tiles
-Farming tiles + icons
-Village exterior tileset
-Village interior tileset
-More environments
I would also love to hear your feedback on the current assets, what might be missing, and what you would like to see from me in the future! Your feedback can help this series grow <3
