Last couple of months life got in the way of my online presence, which should be a good thing, right? But being a freelance illustrator/publisher is a complete disaster promotion-wise. Anyway! I've been working and finishing projects that were in the pipe for a while.
My last zine, Snow, is finally available in Print-On-Demand via LULU. I received the test print yesterday and looks fantastic. Nothing you wouldn't be able to do at home with a regular printer, but if you are not into DIY, it's a great alternative.
My next zine, Quod Natura Non Dat, an adventure/game based on a legend from my hometown, is ready to go. I didn't release it yet because I was on the fence about the platform I would use for the crowdfunding of the print version. I can't use Kickstarter from Taiwan, so my only choices are Crowdfundr and Itchio. I'm not sure if I could reach and funnel enough people to Crowdfundr, and Itchio worked great in the past, but it lacks some features that could make the process much easier.
In any case, I hope to launch the campaign next week at the latest. It is possible that the layout will undergo minor changes, but here are a couple of mockups of how it looks for now.
I am super happy with the art that Łukasz Piwiński has done for this zine. I like the cover so much that I have decided not to stain it with titles and credits of any kind. I'd love to order a couple more pieces from him... we'll have to wait and see how the crowdfunding does.
The other imminent release is Blazing Scrap: a solo TTRPG based on Wretched & Alone and inspired by all those futuristic and hyperviolent sports from video games, comics, and movies such as Motorball, Speedball, Rollerball, Triad, Futuresports, Soccer Brawl…
I'm having a lot of fun with this one. Not sure if it's because of the setting or the way I'm working on it: writing, laying out, and illustrating it all at the same time. I would like to release it in a month, but I can't promise anything. This is how it looks right now:
