Our player was constantly hidden behind walls when the camera was in certain positions. This could prevent the player from seeing enemies or items that were next to the player and could lead to frustrating deaths. The only solution would be zooming the camera in which was very jarring to the player.

After some research I found that I can set the material to be masked in certian spots to allow the wall to be fully transparent. However due to how masking works tit is either fully invisible or visible. I ended up adding some dithering to smooth out the look. I am very happy with everything so far, there is a small issue where if the player touches a wall in front of them that wall is rendered invisible.
