When a new game is released after a rush of development, it is all too common to find spelling, grammar and consistency issues in written text. This is quite often a source of dissatisfaction of users, as it appears to be something that should be easily managed before the public gets access to the game.
These sorts of issues look very sloppy and unprofessional from a game studio and it is reasonable that players have an expectation that professionals would produce higher quality content.
When working with a group developing anything it is easy to lose track of naming conventions, overlook spelling and grammar issues, and have an overall lack of consistency in text. The way to avoid this is documentation for conventions is important. It is also extremely important for team members to watch out for anything that falls between the cracks, missed by other team members.
