Will Midjourney replace the real designer in 2023?

I ran an A/B test on my mobile game, Alien Mars space shooter games, to determine which game logo design players would like best.

For the test, I used two different avatars for the game: the first was drawn by our designers, and the second was created using Midjourney software.

I divided the test group of players into two parts and showed each group different logo options. After the players finished playing, I analyzed the data and found that the version of the image created with Midjourney had a lower response rate.

This result was unexpected, I thought Midjourney was now leading the visual trend.

We decided to use this result and replace the game's logo design with a human-made version.   Overall, conducting A/B testing helped us gain valuable insights into how our players responded to various design elements. We used this experience to improve the quality of our game and make it more appealing to our players.
