Advertising in mobile games

Today I want to share with you my experience with in-game advertising. Initially, only the idea of Rewarded Video was implemented. Rewarded video advertising is a format that gives users a reward in exchange for time spent watching advertising. For such advertising, the amount of coins earned during the battle was doubled.

Days and weeks went by, and the statistics on the use of rewards advertising was not at all impressive. Only 5% of the total number of players clicked on doubling the game gold. Then it was decided to implement Interstitial advertising - full-screen videos or static banners that the user must view in order to access content. That is, if the player did not choose forward advertising, the interstitial was shown to him after each battle. After a while, as a result of the introduction of the interstitial, the number of clicks on the forward advertising jumped to 80% of the total number of players!

From this we can conclude that the player, realizing that after the battle he will in any case be shown an advertisement, makes a choice to the advantageous side - to see the forward advertising and get x2 game gold.
