Making a custom animation

So, I am working on filling in the details of the game as it is so far.  One of the main frustrations are when RPGMaker won't do exactly what I want it to.  The good thing is that over the years I have picked up a bunch of barely acceptable skills that, while alone are almost pointless, when combined make it so that I can occasionally make something I am happy with.  For instance animation!

I barely understand the concepts of true animation. I know about squash and stretch, but have only a rudimentary idea of what to use it for and how.  Thankfully, I know how to edit images that are already there and this is such a case.  All I wanted to make happen was some lights to blink on the servers in my opening portion of the game.  Since I am not 100% on the legality of using other peoples things I decided to make my own by editing the ones that come with RPGMaker.  Now that I think about it, I am not sure about the legality of that either, but I will run with it.

Did I make the lights blink the proper way? I have no idea. But, I am happy with how it turned out for now.  I am sure that with more time and practice I will look back on this little thing I did and laugh at how inefficient I did it. But, it is done and I am moving along to new additions. Oh, keeping track of a Change Log is very helpful!
