I owe you all an apology for going silent recently. If you’ve been wondering where I disappeared to: I recently finished my Master’s degree and have been working on a research paper for peer review and potential publication. This all overlapped with starting my final year of medical school and publishing my second book. It’s been a lot.

But now that my book is ready, I have some exciting news to share about the game!

MMS Development Update

I’m actively working on MMS right now with a self-imposed deadline of one year (or I’ll combust). While I still plan to keep this game free, I want to make it completely my own. The free assets I initially used were fantastic for proving I could actually do this, but now I’m ready to customise everything from the ground up.

I’ve been collaborating closely with an artist I recently met, plus a few from my book projects. Sprites? No problem. But backgrounds have been an absolute pain to procure.

(Blame me for having too many different scenes, but I’m determined to see it through!)

A Bit of Lore: Jeremiah

I was listening to “Can’t Leave Her Alone” by Dennis Van Aarseen recently and started laughing because it perfectly captures Jeremiah’s dynamic with the player.

Unlike Arthur, Jeremiah was in for a cold surprise when the player turned out to be a little unhinged. He got scared and ran off initially, but later realised you were a bad habit he couldn’t break. Now he comes crawling back despite knowing how toxic you are to him.

You’ve known each other since childhood. Whenever you return to play his fiancé, he’s suddenly hit with waves of affection and comfort. The hot-and-cold treatment drove the poor man mad.

It’s why he won’t get his collar taken off—he’s still waiting for the player.

You used to be a delinquent in high school before you decided to give up your life of crime. He really liked that side of you. Well, so did his rival.

VRESACE Update

As you might have gleaned, VRESACE (I can't use the og spelling cause I don't know how copyright works for stuff like this) is also in active development! This one, I have a small team for. We’re dropping a 20k-30k word demo in April alongside a Kickstarter campaign. I’ve already scripted up to 20k word,s and I’m having so much fun with this project. All the player does is tease and torture this big, grumpy male lead, it's just a joy.

I love writing untraditional protagonists, so you’ll be playing a manic pixie dream girl with a habit of manipulating men. And you’re going to love it. 

Yes, there’s a yandere route too—but it requires real investment from you. I won’t hand it over easily.
