Developer Log # 27: Read. Just Read.

Afternoon, ladies and gents!

Tough week. But now it's officially been about almost half a year, and I've spent it doing developer logs. Just passed that threshold too, and well... I've got to say. I'm impressed with myself for how much I've made and how much I've improved.

Although, needless to say that things are starting to get tougher as I continue to work more thoroughly on schoolwork, essays, college applications(Jesus ,Christ this one sucks the most), and a whole lot of other things that I am desperately trying to fix on my own. So, I've found less time to work on the game itself. But, on that note, here's some progress that's been worked on, since I last reported from a week ago.

- Most important thing: You can now level up skills, and "unlock" them to use for your battles. I do anticipate, as I've said before, that this will be the most difficult and frustrating thing I can work on, but the most fun thing.

Notice how none of the skills are leveledd up to even 1. Poison is the only one, allowing for its skill to be used!

Big change here. I wish I had time to where if you clicked on it, it would essentially place it to your inventory above, but I've got no time for that for this time around, but will once this is actually all complete.

Just a heads up on my own part, I've decided to try to focus on exactly that as well: Actually equipping your skills once you click on the skill, which maxes out at 4, because you can't use all 10 (or maybe you could, I'll have to consider). Otherwise, this is just a battle of selecting the skills that benefit your play style most. Most involve stacking debuffs on the enemy, or buffing yourself, or just turning yourself into a man who forever heals his way to victory.

And another note, there's going to possibly be more lore accessible. Yes, Heat and the Kingdom of Staers are all condensed into a more meaningful story, which is practically about me. It's going to be difficult to stomach and understand, but I hope the game can explain and keep this in mind. The document for this only continues to grow longer, and I'm not sure how much or how little to add. That will be its own can of worms to open much later, though, so we'll just chill...

Other than that, I have planned a trailer for a 30 week montage, and I plan to do regular trailers every 5 weeks. I wish I had done this sooner, but now I've planned to see how it'll look visually! Till then, I'll wrap up here.

Come support my growth by following me on Reddit or YouTube. Reddit just has several inquiry questions that I made and promotions, and so does YouTube. YouTube supports more content-related issues, such as sneak peeks and trailers. Hope you find those interesting. I'll plan to have a Discord soon. Not sure when, but soon.

That being said, I'm glad if you read this far, and wish me more luck with my programming skills and game development skills even more. Gooood bye!
