Pretty straight forward. A few things surprised me:
- Starting location was the same based on my last movement (I spawned at the spot I died) for the three attempts it took me to save the kingdom. Works if I'm undead, but not sure if that's intentional for a lowly Royal Alchemist.
- I started in the same square as the spy, and immediately arrested him. The arrest screen appeared, but then when I attempted to move, I was defeated by that darn spy! Not sure if that's working as intended.
- Potion was as straight forward as you would imagine - seems like a percentage chance you will find both an ingredient and its correct position in order as you explore locations (future iterations might separate finding the correct ingredient vs. the correct order).
- Other than unexpected behavior (but perhaps still working as designed), I did not encounter any glitches or issues. Game ran perfectly in the web browser.
- Did give me old school gaming feels.
- I feel like visually there are minor things which can be tweaked which would improve QoL/user experience, but considering this is a mouse-only game in a browser window, I think the visual indicators are obvious enough that you could figure everything out even without reading most of the directions/rules. That's a lot better than some of those old school games!
