Donations speed me along when it comes to making tilesets, games, etc. Following me, rating my things and posting feedback will also encourage me to make more.

So in short, donations are not required for me to make a tileset, unless you have something specific in mind that you want me to make.

Parallel Universe

Already played through it ;)
It is just as enjoyable as this one, still looking forward to your multiple-endings one.

Fair enough :)
The focus helps a little with the mixing your character with the level, but I can understand it still being difficult to contrast (especially when not focusing).

I have to say it was quite the treat seeing you play my game, thanks for that, it gave me a few good laughs and some perspectives on what could be improved.

Just released an expansion for my free for commercial use 8x8 simple tileset.

Looking for some feedback, on what you would like to see or what you think is obviously missing/not up to snuff.

Thanks!

I just released an expansion to this asset pack that more than doubled it's size. It is now much more flexible to someone's potential needs when developing a game.

Enjoy!

Hello!
I recently finished a free platformer called Parallel Universe, it has unique concept that gives it a style all it's own.

Also, it is quite challenging, so be ready for that, hope you enjoy!

This gif by no means gives a good overview, give it a play and all will be understood ;)

Sounds good, I'll stick around for that.

Love the colors, art and music. Gameplay isn't much, but at the same time I don't mind that. I can agree with others when wishing for alternative endings.

Glad you enjoy the tiles :)
You are correct this is an oversight I will be making an expanded version of this tileset with those included.

Recently I have taken to using Aseprite for making pixel art -- tilesets in particular -- it has revived my love of pixel art single-handedly. I have found many wonderfully simple built in tools of Aseprite that make editing a joy to use, not to mention the fact that it is blazing fast on starting and when editing.

A few things I find amazing are double clicking to select a tile when working on a tileset. Easy mirroring horizontal or vertical with shortcuts, Shift+H, or Shift+V. Not to mention pixel-perfect editing mode.

What are the best parts of Aseprite in your opinion?

Parallel Universe the Yin and Yang platformer.

Parallel Universe is a platformer that plays on color dynamics to create interesting visual platforming puzzles. The game features 30 levels that slowly grow in difficulty, it also includes unlockable content upon finishing some levels. You can also race your previous times, as well as try to finish levels with less deaths.

Hope you enjoy my first ever game release!

I recently released my game Parallel Universe, it is a difficult platformer that plays on using simple colors and background transitions. This game was developed in just a few months without an engine, and will be released fully open source soon.

Anyway, enough rambling. Hope you enjoy, and feel free to give suggestions.

Note: Parallel Universe was made to be difficult. I would still like to know if you think it is far too difficult.

Hello.
I just published my first game, it is a unique platformer using minimal colors.

Impressive stuff, everything you make is quality.

Hello, I'm Vexed.

I started making games once I was introduced to GameMaker -- I think version 6, though maybe 7 -- as a child.

Recently I came back to game development with the desire to finish and publish a project. Which I have managed to do!!!
It is called Parallel Universe and marks my first steps into developing on a more regular basis.

Also, I already have another smaller project in the works, which will hopefully be done in a month.

Note: Yes Parallel Universe is published on Itch (it is playable in browser).
Note2: All solo projects will be open sourced once I get around to it, feel free to pick them apart (Github on my page),

I did a play through, I quite enjoyed the game. A few things I can say about it are the theme is one of interest, it touches on a topic that often is ignored. I also liked how the pills were not a fix for the main character (at least in the ending I had).

Might go through again with a different path at some point.

Oh, and did you do all the art?

Parallel Universe
It is my way to hard for it's own good platformer game (with a twist).

So if you are looking to sink your teeth into something a little more frustrating side it would be a good choice.

Not sure if you are still looking for games or not. I'll post just in case you are.

This is my first published game, it is a brutal hard platformer that would probably work well for your short playtime format -- though it might be shorter than what you are looking for.

Quite enjoyable, also quite difficult, which isn't a bad thing by any means. Also the simple black, white, and grey pallet was a good choice for this.
