Well, it's pretty similar under many aspects: you get challenged to explore (and survive) a dungeon no one ever manage to escape, facing various vicious monsters and deadly trap, by the promise of great richness... the only differences were in the combat system (it was very hostile) and in the fact you could choose between to characters (male or female) to play... maybe you could take it as a hint to a further development of yours.
