I never got into trying to undo the limit, so I'm not sure. I have wondered if rooting it will help.
Maybe your ROM has a limit set to it for a specific hardware, other  Android ROM's such as Replicant might not have the limit.

TRADUCCIONES JCCH18  made an ultra compressed version but I think it's only for Arabic/Portuguese/Spanish

I'm going to have to get around to making a compressed version for some of these games if other options don't work. But that will have to wait, I need to finish completing "Zephyr's Island". Since I'm a non-profit dev, I need to prioritize on completing that game first before I go back and look into my other works.

   Update: September 23, 2023- I've come to a decision to create another version that cuts out most of the bloat from the picture gallery and use more compression to get a smaller version of the game. The "mod 1" version is that for Android which is now available for download. It's smaller in size but still not under 2GBs.
