2nd Game and Great Game

I don't know why but I felt like I really messed up my life being isolated. I'm very prone to depression but I'm not giving up. I just wished that I wasn't like this.

Thank you very much for playing. It's great you're not giving up and you should be proud of yourself for not doing so. Don't look back on the things you did wrong, look forward knowing you can change. I hope you're well, wish you the best

Wonderful game. I understand how it is - the depression. You see in things some signs, similarity, like that spider. And then you start to realize, that behind that door, is actually something or someone, that life might be better, and can't be the current way, otherwise it'll be lost. I needed this game in my past, it would help me.

Thank you so much for playing and for sharing. I hope you're in a much better place now

I want to extract it and it tells me: damaged file, what do I do?

You seem the only one with this problem. Try redownloading or using another program like 7zip?

I already did it, is it compatible with a 32-bit computer or does it only work on a 64-bit one?

I belive it's a 64bit build

oh, i found the problem, my computer is 32 bit :(

10/10 great experience !

Thank you very much for playing! Glad you enjoyed it

Very cool !

this makes me sad i want lil nugget back sequel?

(+1)

Hmmm how would you see a sequel turn out?

what do you you mean like what would happen?

Yeah exactly! How would you imagine a sequel?

like you have the spider but you can go outside and have crazy adventures.

That sounds wonderful, I'll work on that :)

(+1)

i cant put into words how much i loved this game, i love letting spiders live in my room so this was very cute, but very full of meaning, i loved this and i recommend it 100%, expresses the feeling of depression perfectly

(+1)

Thank you very much yurii, that means a lot :) Hope you're good

(+1)

I feel a strange connection with the spider...

Lol

32 Bits ?

(+1)

Wow, this was really good!

I wasn't expecting this to be so polished considering it's free.
The voice acting felt natural as well, which even Triple A games can struggle with sometimes.

I think the only issue with the game is that the subtitles have the same colour as the wallpaper, which makes it hard to see sometimes. Maybe adding a dark transparent background behind the subtitles would fix it.

(+1)

Thank you for the compliments! Should definitely fix the subs, it won't take long. Thank you again :)

good

thanks :)

(+1)

Lovely game :) What happened after the spider got enormous?

(+1)

Thank you! That's up for interpretation, really. What do you think it happened?

(+1)

HE KILLED THE SPIDER!!! :(

(+1)

I rlly liked this short game. Did good job representing depression and isolation. I loved our spider buddy. I dunno if i got it right but is he like representing the uh like reflection of the depression/isolation? probs got it wrong but thats how i see it. Thanks for makin' this!

Have a nice day!!!!<3

(+1)

You got it right! It's a projection of the character. Thank you for playing and for the nice comments :)

(+1)

i love the game
also, i think i found a bug. in the long room where it's dark and long spacing between the bed and other things, you can repeatedly spam the slamming door animation by going back and forth near the piano seat

(+1)

Thanks for playing! Yeah the door open/close trigger was super hard to put in a way that would lure the player to the door (since there is where it triggers the level change) so I have yet to find a better way to deal with that haha, thank you for letting me know :)

5*, it is masterpiece

Oh wow, that's very kind of you :) Thank you for playing!

(+3)

A very relatable experience to the point that it hurts.

(+2)

Thank you very much Simon. Your message at the end moved me. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart

(+1)

Wow, I think watching this with your commentary and sharing your pain was a lot more effective than it would have been if I tried playing this myself. Thank you so much for making this video.

(1 edit) (+1)

Very cute? Good job! (it's the 3rd game in the video). I love the voice acting!

(+1)

Thank you very much for playing!

(+1)

no problem!

(+1)

Its an interesting game, at some point you can press "E" on the spider and it disappears, but i didn't notice any change, is something supposed to happen?

I'm new to YouTube and it would help a lot if you leave a like or subscribe if you like the content, also you can request a game by leaving a comment!
(+1)

Oops you found a bug haha I can't find it in your video. Do you know where that happened? Thanks for playing btw!

(+1)

Its in this part of the game, in the corner

(+2)

Aaaaah yes I see haha def need to fix that. Thanks for pointing it out!

(+2)

Love how at the end you can just leave

(+1)

I'm glad you liked that!

(+1)

Def liked the metaphors and atmosphere it threw me into from the very beginning. It took a bit for the message to personally kinda hit, but when it did, it really sealed the deal into making this game a pretty unique pick for me. Good job man

(+1)

Thank you for playing! Laughed at the ending :)

An interesting short game, very vibey!

My playthrough:

(SPOILERS BELOW)

My thoughts on the game:

  • I really liked the inclusion of the spider and it's metaphoric value, great job!
  • The game is extremely vibey with the looks and sound effects, I liked it.
  • For improvement, I think the door that opens/closes constantly could be optimized a bit by making it open only when you're further away from it and close only when you're close to it, so it can't be spammed.
  • The voice acting is great, I loved it!
  • It's a little unclear where and which beer bottles you have to grab, maybe a glow like on the spider would help.
  • Would've been cool to see some stars at the beginning of the game when it turns dark, and to have maybe fog at the top of the hills so it makes a little more sense with the lighting.
  • I recommend adding an outline to text as white on white can be hard to read, especially when you click on the door. (Example image below)

Overall, as much as I tried thinking of feedback notes for this game, the game as it is pretty much nails it! Incredible job, I enjoyed every bit of it :)

(+2)

Thank you for playing and for the notes! I really appreciate you taking the time to write down notes / bugs. If I decide to go back to it to fix some of this things I'll definitely do, there's some other (like the stars) that'll be a bit over my coding knowledge because I tried to add them the first time and didn't manage to do it haha. Thanks again :)

(+1)

Really great game, very interesting concept as well as thought provoking. Good work!
(+1)

Thank you Monty for playing it!

(1 edit) (+1)

I am always a fan of indie games that attack issues like anxiety and depression and their root, and this game does just that. The game feels atmospheric, and it has pleasant pacing. It didn't feel too long or too short. I do however wish there was more interaction in the game. There were many times I tried to interact with just simple things in the environment like the piano when I was messing with the guitar, or the computer, but nothing happened. Maybe this was intended though; maybe the protagonist's depression was so bad that he didn't even want to think of touching these items.

(+1)

Thank you for playing it and your words! It was definitely intentional, you are absolutely right

games alot deeper than i thought. Nice job

(+1)

Thank you for playing it :)
