Hi

I cant see the AU plugin in Logic Pro X. Stand alone working

The plug-in is not passing Apple AU validation. Is there a workaround?

Same for me in Logic Pro on BIG SUR. How to get through this?

I have dropped the VST and component files in their corresponding folders, but I "don't have permission" to open the app on my M1 mac. Is the Ribs plugin not compatible with Apple Silicon? It looks like a great plugin. I paid for this bad boy so any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

1. After you get the AU validation error alert, go to System Preferences: Security & Privacy: General tab

(There may be a padlock icon in the lower-left, click on it to authenticate and unlock it)

2. Click on 'Allow Anyway'

3. Return to Logic Pro X, start the Plug-In Manager

4. Find Ribs, and click in the Use box, it should now be checked:

5. Click on 'Reset & Rescan Selection'

6. You may get an alert along the lines of:

Obviously, click on Open.

You maay see an Audio Unit Validation Result window:

And Plug-In Manager also show successfully validated:

Good luck!

the problem of the original comment is not that the plug-in doesn’t pass validation - the au plugin simply doesn’t get recognised in Logic Pro, doesn’t appear in the plug-in manager. Any ideas?
