The problem is likely on your end since no one else had that issue that I can see of.
Make sure you have the correct game version for your operating system. Make sure you open it in 32 or 64 bit system depending on your specs again. If needed, run the app as administrator. If you still have problems try creating an exception for the game on your anti virus (sometimes the anti virus programs love to whack safe apps. 99.999% sure there are no viruses in this download. you may have to restart your computer or download the whole game over again if your AV irreparably damaged the game. Just make sure to turn off your AV while it downloads, make the exception ((restart if needed to take effect)), and turn your AV back on so you dont forget after youre done reading).
Renpy also uses graphics, game/mouse/keyboard and sound/voice drivers. Try restarting/updating your drivers on your device manager. They tend to break or need an update to run newer apps sometimes.
If none of these solutions work then IDK what could be wrong. These are the usual problems people have when using Renpy.

The story in this fantasy medieval era is amazing. that Visual Novel and the other one you and your team are working on, repeat, are amazing. Im just in love with your work

I think she's gonna be that one person who supports the team wholeheartedly and doesn't pay much mind of the romantic relationship happening as long as they're still on good terms and teamwork. Knowing that Arty is kinda fond of those "literatures" in the guild's library, she will come to an understanding and greater interest, probably. Fujoshi, that's what she's becoming to xixixi.

Extreme circumstances often have extreme results. Artemi was incredibly sheltered , full of self-doubts because being the creator was the only thing she really had going for her. Suddenly meeting two people who don't shower her with praise just for being the creator's chosen, and them appreciating Artemi for who she is would change her quite quickly. They found her lightning magic pretty awesome, whereas before, her lightning magic was a source of doubt for her (since the other chosen ones weren't tempest mages).
The story is great so far. Little nitpick for Malus (on Android at least, I don't know for other releases), his sprite is too low and his face keeps getting hidden behind the text box.
Keep up the good work! I really like your characters, none of them feels "one dimensional" to me, or those that did were shown to have deeper personalities in a twist of events.
After playing, i really loved how this game has gone far, the storyline is great and heartwarming (though the concept is used very fondly throughout the chapters) overall it's very great and i can't wait to reach the plot of the story!!! There's a few downside regarding with the sound effects (particularly the volume and tone of the effects) it would really be great to change them with more not-so-dramatic ones or just simply change their volume so people like me won't get jumpscared in the middle of the scenes.
Best of luck for the development of the VN, it has really struck my interest being NSFW scenes aren't the main focus of the story, hoping this VN would really come out at it's best!!!!
After catching up with the story, I can now officially state a few things :
- Marrow is definitively the DILF of the year
- Artemi is one hell of a cinnamon roll, and she's super funny to tease
- Ilia is best mom
- Hamish best dad
- Grank is precious and also a DILF
- Noodle is the cutest nope rope I've ever seen, I wanna pet him
I definitively grew fond of the characters in this story, they're really well-written and lovable (except that old witch of a bishop, she's almost on par with the two elder cunts from Far Beyond the World)
My favourite's still Marrow however, definitively a great character in every manner (and I can't say I don't have a thing for mercenaries since Iron Bull is one of my fav characters)

Is... is Cole actually Marrow AND Hamish's biological kid and not just Marrow's? Because ngl, I was kind of enjoying the whole "you're not my real dad" dynamic Cole had going with Hamish and making him Hamish's biological kid kind of ruins that. It's a fairly cheap way to resolve the conflict in Hamish and Cole's whole sort of "son not liking his step-dad" relationship and opens up a number of rather uncomfortable questions. Like, why wouldn't Marrow and Hamish just TELL Cole this when he was younger? Cole makes no secret of the fact that he thinks of Hamish as "Dad's killjoy boyfriend" instead of "Dad #2" and it makes Marrow out to be a really shitty partner if he didn't step in and clear this matter up for all these years. I just can't see Marrow doing that considering what I've seen of him.
Basically, I hope I'm wrong and just overthinking things. There's clearly something magical about Cole's origins based on what Agnes said, but what is still unknown and I really hope it isn't what I think it is.

It wouldn't surprise me if Marrow really desired a son with Hamish, but since they're both males, he had to find another, unorthodox, method. He might have learned of the existence of a certain magic/spell that permits that and stole it from Agatha's lab
Thus, Cole was born. But maybe the disease he got during his childhood and leaving him weakened for the rest of his life was a result of his rather particular birth conditions.
Marrow might feel especially guilty, thinking it was because of him that his son ended up weak and not strong like him.
That would also be a reason why he despises magic so much (this and maybe something that happened with his sister)
I really love this game so far, both the story telling and character building are great af, had me in tears a couple times actually haha. It has been a pleasant journey so far cuz i don't see myself rushing the story to any NSFW scences like other games lol. I'm looking forward to your work in the future!
