what do you use in your group atm? 

I mainly make art in game projects, but I tried to learn some programming last year and it's been fun  :) Nothing really complicated.
Start with something simple and see if you can add something more after that.  There's a lot of good tutorials on youtube, but it's always good to ask people with more experience.
