Turns in approaches with a holding pattern bug

This is a cross post from a Steam discussion.

I have this problem where an airplane will make over right turns on an approach/transition waypoint after it is put into a hold.

The way to replicate this bug is as follows:
1. Select an APP beacon for an approach. (The RJBB and EGFF maps are good ones to test this on.)
2. Enable the approach.
3. While it is navigating through the approach waypoints, put it into a hold.
4. The plane will make a hold procedure once and then continue on the approach.
5. At this point, the some planes will make over right turns if the next waypoint requires a left turn.

Note that this happens because pressing HOME allows for hold mode without cancelling the approach, and also replaces the next fix in the approach with the current position.

Mouse-only controls forces the cancellation of the approach and the aircraft stays in the hold.
