Can I reuse a project I had started working on for a different jam?

Hello! I had started working on a project for another jam that I ended up having to drop out of that I think would fit this jam very well. However I have a few questions regarding it.
1. I had started making some elements of the project already. Specifically: Some scripting and a few assets were made already. Can I still use this project for this jam? The work already done is fairly minimal compared to what needs to be done.
2. My game is being made in RPG maker and includes some exploratory elements as well as VN elements. Most of the story will be told through the VN elements, the exploratory elements are supplementary. Is this allowed or does the project need to be straight VN?

Thanks!

1. yeah it's fine, just don't spend any more time working on it for the next few weeks. a lot of people will be bringing in old resources from past games and we can't control all of that.
2. that's okay too

Got it, will do! Or, more accurate, won't do!
