I dont understand why not though. I dont think its that difficult to implement client/host peer to peer online multiplayer into the game. It doesnt need to be perfect, all host is going to do is store all the save data and client will act as an entity in the world that can interact with hosts save and events. It doesnt need server browser and things like that. Just simply playing with friends is enough. I would love to play the game and have fun but I cant due to not having multiplayer cuz this game is one of those games that is the best played in coop and since I dont stream, I get very bored after an hour of cleaning in a videogame. Nothing in there is particularly scary but that is the point, so having a friend around, do tasks, clean and get spooked once in a while is kinda important. Not sure why the original coop mod was abandoned, not sure why we were told that there will be coop soon but it was almost 2 years ago in 2024 I believe since it got completely abandoned. Reworking the game over and over again is a great idea after you realize that for coop, it is going to require another rework... So please, it would be a really good idea to actually work on online coop cuz I believe many people including me are waiting for the game to have the ability to play with friends. I would love to play this with my GF but neither of us wants to play solo nor watch the other one play and be a backseat gamer... Even if the coop was paid only build for 30 bucks, I would have 100% bought it.
