As stated in the title, I have played this game in various versions on my laptop. While I truly love the game, 8.2 and 9.0 cook my CPU at over 210 °F even with low settings and volumetric lighting disabled. The power required to run the game was also consistent and substantial enough to cause irreputable damage to my 300w power supply (the converter having partially melted from the inside out). I was just curious if anyone else has had these issues. It feels a bit concerning when my laptop can comfortably run games like Ark Survival Evolved with max settings.

you laptop has some big problems if its doing that. its not the game causing your laptop to get that hot its probably your laptop. what are the specs of your laptop? being able to run a nine year old game at max settings doesn't really say that much about your hardware.
