you have to go to the folder you unzipped the files into, and open the folder. within, there will be the files you need. don't know how to help if youre on mac

I'll let you guys refer to the top of this thread if you run games using the Itch desktop app, but here's how you open the game files if you need to delete Monika or need to look for some files in the game's directory (no Itch desktop app).
It's the same folder you opened DDLC with, unless you're blind or something. All the game and character files are there alongside the Application for Doki Doki Literature Club, plus some. Hope that helped.
hey, i've been trying to search through the "game" file for some of the images of the game for a video about ddlc but i found nothing, like, i found some files but, even in my "ddlc + fan pack" copy of the game, i couldn't find the actual files (like, the music, backgrounds, those things), and for everyone that might think this is normal, it's not, because i have done it a lot of times before using those to make a special ddlc word archive myself and also did use them for some old videos i have, but now i can't find them, even opening OBS advised me those files we're lost (bc it couldn't find them) and what takes me off most is that it happened with the both copies, the one i use for mods and the one with Fan Pack DLC, with the mods one i thought was normal until i found out in the fan pack one also happened, i also tried to find answers on web but it seems nothing like this ever happened to other people (or at least they didn't seemed to notice), so im thinking if this is something that happens bc of the file explorer or my pc, bc the game didn't updated since 2018 and this just happened to me today
