1. Since there is already a relationship system, I don't see why not adding more interaction and unique scene instead of just... "Support" and "Give Gift" only.

2. During the playthrough, there are a few things that can be interact. Since the story is related to something eldritch base on everyone's dream and the ending. You should make opportunity of adding more stuff that is interatable to delay the inevitable ending.

  • Password door
  • Puzzles
  • Hidden door (Like the one in Courtyard)
  • Make morse code actually visible or maybe readable in dialogue, like when I found the light flickering in the dorm hallway. I was speechless with the character just say "I can't read morse code". Like come on man, I'm more interested what the light is trying to hint us.

3. Making relationship and sanity actually functionable

  • Like the "Morse code", was dissapointed that Relationship and Sanity is just for show.
  • Playing through the game, it seems like that Relationship and Sanity could go below the negative, what I suggest here is that making more sprite for Sanity. After checking out every TF, there are already a few character already look "insane" or is "panicking". Moreover, there is no reason for them to make such expression when they have positive sanity.
  • Opportunity of using sanity as RNG Coinflip. If you ever heard of Limbus Company, the game had their own Sanity System. 0 for 50/50, 5% for head coinflip when sanity is at -45 and 95% for head coinflip when sanity is at 45. I would recommend making similar system, it is simple math. (X value [Character Sanity's] ÷ Character's Sanity Capcity × 95 [Percentage]).

4. Story improvement

  • All character should interact more often in the main story line. Like seriously, I feel bad for the characters that get silenced. Looking at their personality, most of them seems like a bright and active person on day 1. Unless the character is a extreme quiet type, I can understand if he just being silenced. But for the rest, it doesn't really make senses.
  • Conflict and Drama. People tend to fight over small things, it would be nice seeing some realistic interation even thought this is just a fictional story.
  • Character's IQ, like damn. The captain seems like a great leader, wanting to find the sources of the "Transformation" and keeping everyone's morale in check. But why didn't they think of the drinks, it's like the biggest clue in the whole story and they just turned a blind eye on it.
  • The "Mother", like I said above, after having some playthrough, it seems that Mother is a kind of eldtrich entity. You did a great job at hiding the present of it. Many horror movie can be say terrifying is mainly because of one part, and that part is we doesn't know what the hell is the "entity". I hope you can keep the aspect of this.
  • Horror and Mysterious opportunity : The story seems to be very bright, but searching through all the room. There's a few weird things can be found, like the book with all of its odd page ripped out. The binder in the Annoucer Booth, those 2 random tree we can interact, and the box in the shed. It missed out a lot of opportunity to learn more about the place.

6. Player's stat felt extremely useless, beside needing to get 6 stamina to get access to the gym, there is no other uses than that. I suggest adding more interaction to get access to things or more clue.


Questions:

1. Is the owner mentioned at the beginning mentioned by the Captain the "Mother"? I always find this extremely weird, since why would the owner not making his appearance to his own place.

2. How does the character make Chemical and Energy drink, is there some kind of guidebook teaching them like the instruction on how to clean the pool? Another thing I find suspicious would be the ingredient, because what kind of sane person would use "dark water" instead of your average clear and clean water. Also, why does the pool cleaning chemical have Mushroom as ingredient? Logically speaking, if it were to be normal chemical for cleaning. Yes there is mushroom as ingredient. BUT, if you literally dip mushroom into the pool, instead of Algae, fungus is going to grow instead. 😅

4. Is there no other third party involved in this story beside the cab driver and "Mother"?

1. Right now im working on expanding the dialogue for support and gift. What unique interactions are you thinking of?

2. I like that idea of "delaying" the inevitable ending. I had some notes of this beginning this idea with the car and gym location initially being locked. 

This is something will continue working on and i can look into expanding more fun puzzles. 

The main bottleneck for me is writing dialogue which hopefully should be better after i convert all my jsons to rpy files >_>

3. Yes right now the relationship and sanity is just for show unfortunately. Something i really want to keep expanding. The update 5 series of updates was just to get system online, and i still need to go back. 

I was going to use sanity and relationship affect the yields of the nightly gathering first. I think i can go back and have the dialogue be affected by sanity once i get the new character art in the game. (featuring facial expressions)

4a. So im trying to give each character more input as the story goes on. One note of that is in day 1 and 2 where there the game selects 2 teammates to comment on the current situation. That feature will be expanded more so that npc conversation feel like it is more than just you and captain glued together for 10 days lol.

4b. Yeah that is something that is lacking for sure. Especially since most of them dont know each other from the start.

4c. I do have a note on why they never consider the drinks, but the explanation for that is not in the game. More to come in the future ;)

4d. Thank you! Yeah i have a big backstory written. Im sort of picking and choosing what i want this game to reveal.

4e. Yeah the strange items interactions will be expanded on in the future. I wanted to leave them there early for people to get a firm grasp that something bigger is at play... maybe even bigger than what is currently presented and known.

Yeah this was recently added i think like 2 or 3 updates ago? I want to add more checks or use existing check and have the stats affect what you see or understand. Now with the new idea of puzzles i could add more there as well. 

Questions:

1. No the owner is not Mother. The owner has their own part to play but that will come later as i keep expanding the dialogue

2. I need to double check but i added dialogue at the start that says something like:

"There is a machine here." The machine takes care of converting things into what they team needs

when presented the right ingredients. I think I may have introduced the machine but not its functionality to the characters.

I need to change dark water to strange water. I think "dark water" is too heavy handed.

The machine was built to work with the things that are grown around the facility. I need to spend 

more time expanding the dialogue so the machine's purpose and rules make sense.

3. It has story meaning, but right now you are unable to decipher it. soon(tm)

4. There are, but none have had dialogue written for them.

Sorry that most of them boil down to "I need to get to it". I am one person working on this project on my free time after my full time job.

I dont want that to be an excuse on the development, just to help player understand how my development time works.

It's alright, I'm a game developer too.

But now I really just focused on other stuff like producing music plans, drawing, writing novels, blah blah. Many more.

Thought I have no records of making any game or publishing any of it. I ususally just experiment stuff, doing math calculation, breaking unity engine to its limit, etc.

I do have multiple games idea, but these project are way too grand for 3 person to finish even when both me and another guy are pro at scripting. 😅

So I understand when it comes to solo game deving. Take your time. :)

Add segs, maybe dating sim. The game is already 18+ and everyone is like they are in acceptance in day 6 or 7. If character could turn back into a male. Doesnt that mean it's possible to do male and female.
