i have replayed fnaf 2 5 times then i played this game and was surprised to find out barely anything was changed besides some additional mechanics which didnt really spice up the gameplay and the "redesigns" which really only give the characters clothes. im very disappointed in this game since it had tons of hype. my feedback is that you shouldnt be afraid to change things too much maybe completely change how a mechanic works or give the animatronics a look similar to irl animatronics

nah. I think ur just bullshiting this is not supposed to be some reimagening this is just fnaf 2 but better idk what else did you expect

(+9)(-2)

also it actually tells the story which fnaf 2 didnt bother doing

The game isn't better its way worse. The way it tells the story isn't even that good. the original fnaf 2 told the story through phone calls and 8-bit minigames which left tons of space for theorizing. this however spoon-feeds the lore right into your mouth like your a toddler which leads no room for theorizing which ruins the fun. one thing I would like to add is that is game isn't legal it is too similar to the original fnaf 2 to be considered legal and discourages buying the original (better) game. this could have been fixed with a steam verification system to check if the user has bought the original game however this games creator has gone on to say that they hate Scott Cawthon just for his political opinion and will most likely not add a verification system because she doesn't like people buying his games.

the game is better in everyway, youre just having a tantrum because the FREE game this person developed FOR FREE is not up to your very specific standards. OG fnaf 2 has very generic (rng dependant) gameplay where you only have 3 forms of real defense. the story was vague in the original because quite frankly scott is shit at telling complex stories, which can be seen in the books writing and the fnaf 2 movie.

I'm not having a tantrum lol. I don't care if the game is free or not. standards for what a good fnaf fangame is has increased fnaf remakes don't cut it anymore. take the glitched attraction or playtime with Percy or SCP: the endurance those game are amazing yet are completely free and I genuinely you recommend you play at least one of the games I listed. fnaf 2 having RNG is what makes it fun and challenging, it may have rng but its not impossible, it took me many tries to beat 10/20 mode but every time I died I came up with a new strategy to combat the issue I had, I little bit of rng can be good it can even make some games scary. about the storytelling I really like the storytelling because it directly confirms that the animatronics are possessed and also shows William Afton for the first time. the truth is fnaf has always told its story in a very vague way using environmental and fragmented storytelling, which is not a bad way at telling its story Games like Baldis basics plus, Hello Neighbor, Tattletail and Silent Hill use the same method. also you didn't mention my concerns about this game being legal because it doesn't have a steam verification system which could get it taken down by Scott Cawthon. I am sorry if the way I criticised the game wasn't clear enough and I can see why you don't like the original fnaf 2 also I did not like the books or the fnaf movies.

Im sorry but some of what you said about me is not true? I'm not a fan of Scott but I always encourage people to play FNAF 2 first, I consider it "required reading" lol. The game is made specifically with people who have played fnaf 2 before as the target audience.

(-5)

You still should add a steam verification system to avoid your game being taken down by Scott. Scott has taken down remakes in the past that don't have a steam verification system.

What about those of us who can't afford the original game, or are just kids who want to play a FNAF 2 remake? It's not even that similar to FNAF 2 for Scott to delete it. There are many fangames that are much more similar to FNAF 1/2 than this one, and they weren't deleted. Besides, Scott isn't that involved with FNAF anymore. Sorry if some sentences are unclear; I used a translator.

(-4)

if you cant afford fnaf 2 then too bad. this game is very similar to fnaf 2 to the point it could be taken down due to it sharing most of the same mechanics besides the power mechanic, most fnaf remakes have a steam verification system nowadays so they arent taken down. an example of fnaf remake that did get taken down due to not having a verification system is AFF:OS by phisnom, scott took this game down due to it being too similar to fnaf 2. also scott is still involved in fnaf nowadays he took down lostpawplays fnaf plus a year ago.

I really dont think scott would have a problem with this game, like, have you seen the first re written game, only like, 1 thing about freddy was changed and people still love it

(-2)

he took down AFFOS do you think he would spare this game. this game needs a steam verification system to not get taken down. about rewritten 1, rewritten 1 was way to easy for me, the power was way too easy to preserve.

Scott  doesn't like the idea of fan games that recreate/polish/remake any official FNaF game being a much better version of the official installments having a steam verification system that checks if you own the original game so it doesn't seem that you "can play a better version of FNaF that someone uploaded for free".
Quote from one of his comments on a FNaF 1 polished up recreation reddit post someone posted on r/fivenightsatfreddys subreddit which he then proceeded to comment on with this response:
"-I know that it apparently checks to see if you have the original game first, but it still doesn’t change the fact that this is basically the original game being uploaded and hosted by someone other than myself (even if done with more polish than my original game!)"

(+5)

I got an idea: Make it yourself.

(-5)

No because my shitty laptop can't do shit right now. but if I had a better laptop or pc trust me I would make a fnaf 2 remake!

(+5)

I mean i could help out with it

(-5)

No thanks I work alone

(+3)

Really bro

Scott Cawthon made fnaf on a window vista laptop while on a road trip.

(+3)

If you dislike it, don't play it. Plenty of people love the game, so this seems like you misinterpretted the purpose of this redesign.

(-3)

I was told the game was good thats why i played it

seems to me like you hoped the game was completely different from the og game which defeats the purpose of it being called a remake. the game is good to me and plenty of other people even youtubers, the fact that ur saying its bad because its like fnaf 2 but slightly different (the whole point  of a remake) just exposes you of being silly fr.

I mean... its better then fnaf 2... I think that alone does the job, a remake is supossed to be better, while maintaining the core of the original game, this game does pretty much just that. I'm not gonna talk too much about the "FNaF 2 but for free and better" argument, becuz I think the game tried to distance itself enough to where it is a different game, the game is generally easier then FNaF 2, so I'd say alot of the appeal FNaF 2 has is still in the original, since it's a more challenging game, specially with the 10/20 mode, one of the hardest fnaf challanges of all time, if not the hardest.
