So I’m checking back in on the 2nd of January and there have been no announcements about theme or time frame or anything else. The page for the jam has no direction to any websites or discord or anything outside of itch. What am I missing? Is there a super secret group I’m not a part of? Anyone else seen or heard anything?

They "ran" one last year as well, it looks exactly the same - some people put in submissions for their pixel based games but I think the "host" made the events then forgot to do anything else. Hopefully I'm wrong because I was very excited for a year long jam with no dev experience as a reason to learn.

me too. I was going to do this alongside a couple of smaller jams to kind of get the ball rolling. A slightly larger project and a bunch of little toys.
