Media keys in Cider/Apple Music not working

Hello! I recently got a new Cherry XTRFY 3.1 keyboard, which has 3 media keys - skip, previous, play/pause. For the life of me I cannot get these to work with the Cider app, and also not in Apple Music proper. They will work in stuff like Windows Media Player or VLC. Ive found very few posts about this issue, so wondering if anyone else here has had this issue with media keys? Apple Music is set as my default app for all music, and Ive also tried stuff like reinstalling keyboard drivers and Cider. Thanks for any suggestions!

same problem here. Before the last update it works.

Same. Playerctl no longer sees Cider, so I'm guessing MPRIS/dbus service registration is borked somehow.

Edit: Yup, that's it. On package version 3.1.8 there is no Cider instance visible on dbus. Downgraded to 3.1.0 and it reappeared. This is on Debian.

Also having this problem on Fedora Linux. Was also able to get media keys working again by downgrading the client to 3.1.0. Still working after updating to 3.1.10 using the update menu in Cider. Just don't let your package manager update the base client version to 3.1.8 and you're golden.
