Hello there, I would like to make a game in the portal 2 engine to submit to this jam, but unfortunatly you would have to have portal 2 installed to play it, or the Stanley parable Demo/ Full game. Please respond quick as i need an answer and cant find one, Emailed Séan already but no reply.                                              Thank you ---Alex

The portal 2 engine is closed source and not available to the public. And Stanley Parable was made in unity. I don't really understand what you are trying to do but i suggest using a regular game engine like godot or unity.

that is actually incorrect info the stanley Parable was made in the portal 2 engine but the stanley parable Ultra Deluxe was made in Unity so i see why you might have thought that

Oh yeah sorry about that, it was the first thing that came up on google lol.

After doing some more research I found out that Stanley Parable was made by cloning the Source 2013 repo and following the valve wiki. Though i still don't reccomend this. But do what you do ig.

thanks, but i sent an email to duckydev and they said i cant.

With 5K+ entries, they wouldn't be able to accommodate for everyone...:/ From what I've heard, the only way that the system works properly is if everything is uploaded the same way into itchio. Sounds like a cool project, but I would personally avoid over arching download/play requirements...
