Looking for 2d pixel artist that can help with NES graphics

Hello! I’m currently working on a Metroid game using graphics from this resource:
https://www.spriters-resource.com/nes/metroid/

The game is not a remake of the original Metroid, I’m designing my own world but I’m bothered by one limitation in particular, that Samus cannot crouch. Of course there are no sprites for it in the original sprite sheets and I’m reaching out here to see if anyone is interested in helping out making a sprite of Samus crouching.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

The midframe before she goes morph ball looks like a workable crouch to me, could you elaborate on what you're asking for?

Hey! 👋I’m a 2D artist and have worked on sprite/character designs before. I’d love to help create a crouching Samus sprite in the NES style for your project. If you’re interested, you can reach me on Discord: lara_winters
Or let me know your preferred way to connect!

I’m looking for a crouching and shooting pose, kind of like when Samus jumps and shoots, but not exactly.

(First one is just the midframe.)

Thanks! That could be useful but I think this sprite is a better fit to use as base:

What do you think SisCalypsis?

I'm not super enthusiastic about doing a whole back and forth here, sorry.

Got it 👍 A crouching + shooting pose in that classic NES Samus style. I can definitely help create that for you while keeping it consistent with the original sprites. If you’d like, I can share some of my past pixel art so you can see the style match before we proceed.
